abe+bce+abf+bcf+aed+cde+afd+cfd = 2431
(a+c)(b+d)(e+f) = 11*13*17
so, (a+c)+(b+d)(e+f) = 11+13+17 = 41...

Let the total work be 240 units...
even days -> A+B work => 3 units of work is done..
odd days -> B+C work => 2 units of work is done..
so on 2 consecutive days 5 units is completed
240/5 = 48..
therefore, total days = 48*2 = 96...

a/b = c/d and e/f = g/h --> ae/bf = cg/dh
applying componendo and dividendo on both sides we get the desired proof...

u actually don't have do it with variables....i mean this is how i do it..
a/b = c/d
2/4 = 3/6
and e/f = g/h
1/3 = 2/6
so, (ae+bf)/(ae-bf) = 7/5...
now u hv the options...one of which would be (cg+dh)/(cg-dh) which after putting the values comes out to be 7/5 and hence is our answer...

96 days ??

taking 2 days as a pair..
so 1st day b and c work
2nd day a and b work
so by the end of the 2nd day
1/80+1/120 = 1/48
so for every 2 days 1/48th of the work is done ,
to complete 100% of the work 48 pairs required , in total 48*2=96 days...
