find out the missing term(x):1.4,6,13,13,x,28,121,59 options 26,35,40,452.5,6,9,15,x,40 options:21,25,27,333.2,26,x,124,214,342 options:14,56,64,118Please mention the approach along with the answers.
1. split into two series of alternative terms .......4,13,x,121 and 6,13,28,59 ==> logic is 4*3+1 for first series and 6*2+1 , 13*2+2 , 28*2+3 with increasing difference..so answer is ..
13*3+1 = 40.

2. difference series... diffrncs are 1,3,6,...nxt has to be 6+4 diff = 10. ..nxt term is 15+10 =25 .

It's kind of a trapezium. So, use the formula => 1/2*(sum of parallel sides)*(distance b/w them)

Question is like Trapezium with parellel sides of length 1.6 and 4.4 ..with base 26m ., after finding area of this trapezium we can multiply it with its breadth to get total volume

area = (1.6+4.4)/2 * 26* 10 = 780

1/2(1.6+4.4)*26*10 = 780 ?

128rt2(rt2+1)?

4*32 + 4*32*rt2/2 + 4*32*rt2*rt2/4 +........
4*32 + 4*32(rt2/2 + rt2*rt2/4 + .....)
128 + 128(rt2/2/1 - (rt2/2))
128 + 128(rt2/2 - rt2)
128 + 128(rt2 + 1)
can be also written as 128*rt2(rt2 + 1)

total sum = 45 , so by removing two out of it and also satisying the condition that it has to be divisible by 9...then its 45-9k .

k=1 ...rem two numbers which have sum of 9... (1,8), (2,7),(3,6),(4,5) .
k=2 ...rem two numbers which have sum of 918..not possible..

total ways = 4/ 9c2 = 4/ 36 = 1/9
