There were 60 questions in an exam. If 1 mark was awarded for every correct answer and 1/3rd mark was deducted for every wrong answer, how many different net scores were possible in the exam?
238??

total no. of marks possible=180-60+1=241
no. of marks not possible=3*2/2=3
So possible=241-3=238

Is it 238??
i wld take +3 and -1 wala scenario (it is one and the same thing)
range -> -60 to 180 => 241
but out of these 3*2/3 = 3 scores are not possible....
hence, total possible scores = 241-3 = 238 scores

OA=670........

Two trains C and B, start at same time from station A and B resp. towards each other. After passing each other, they take 12 hours and 3 hours to reach B and A respectively. If the train C is moving at the speed of 48kmph, the speed of train B is??

P, Q and R are in arithmetic progression but not in geometric progression. Their squares are in harmonic progression. 2Q2 + PR equal ??
3PR??

Speed of C/Speed of B =Root of(time taken by B/time taken by C)

Substituting values we get speed of B as 96 kmph
@bs0409 how do you calculate the number of marks not possible?

If there are n marks given for a correct answer and 1 mark deducted for an incorrect answer, then no. of marks not possible is n(n-1)/2.
@pirateiim478 Do you know what happened to guys like Varun tyagi,jain4444,Vikrambatra,Jaikishann,Culdip,Vikasneur..........

96km/hr?
Sc/Sb=rt(Tb/Tc)
48/x=rt(3/12)
x=96

It's good to see the enthusiasm waise.
How're things here?

let after time t they meet

let speed of b is v km/hr
48t/v=3 vt/48=12
divide both v^2=96*96
so v=96km/hr

when 3179^4241 divided by 4, d Remainder ?
