4n+2 = 2*(2n+1 )

Its nothing but finding odd divisors of 120 = 3*5*2^3 ==> odd div = 4??
so ,no.of divisors of the form 4n+2 for 240 is 4??

N is the largest 3-digit number which when divided by 11 and 9 leaves 9 and 7 as the respective remainders. The sum of the digits of N is

N= 11a+9 = 9b+7 here, diff is same 😃 LCM model 1 ==> N = LCM ( 11, 9) *K - 2 = 99K-2
u need largest number less than 1000 so, k=10 ==> N=990-2=988

A fuel dealer mixes two brands of fuel which cost in the ratio 2:3. A solution of 30% brand A with brand B yields profit of 10% when sold at rs 297. what is the cost of brand B?
cost of A = 2x,
cost of B = 3x,
now 0.3 A+ 0.7 B = 297 ==> which yields 10% profit

==> 1.1 [ 0.3*2x+ 0.7 *3x] = 297 ==> 2.7x = 277 ===> 3x = 277*3/2.7= 300 (approx)

A and B are the two opposite ends of a swimming pool and the distance between them is420 metres. Ankur and Manu start swimming towards each other at the same time from A and B,with speeds in the ratio 5 : 9 respectively. As soon as any of them reaches an end, he turns backand starts swimming towards the other end. At what distance (in metres) from A will they meet whenManu is in his 13th round? Note: A to B is considered one round and B to A another round.(a) 405 (b) 330 (c) 240 (d) 280
Time taken Manu to complete 12 rounds = 420/ 9x * 12 = 560/ x sec [ Now he will be at the position where he started i.e., point B ]

After 560/x Ankur position of ankur = 420*n = 5x *560/x = 20/3 = 6 + 2/3 [ after 6 he ll be at initial point where he started i.e., at point A] + 2/3 is 2/3 * 420= 280 metres..

Now after 560/x sec..ankur and manu are at a distance of 420-280 = 140..now both swim in opposite direction ==> relative speed = 14x
now 140 = 14x* t ==> t = 10/x ..now to find the meeting point ..find distance travelled by manu in 10/x sec ==> d= 9x* 10/x ==> 90 metres..so they meet at a distance of 420-90 =330from point A

Rem (24^713+26^713/25) is (-1)^713+(1)^713/25 = 0
So Remainder [24^713+26^713]/625 =0

In a number system 12, 20,24 are in an arithmetic progression. What is the base of the number system?
(12)b = b+2 20base b = 2b , 24 base b = 4 + 2b in a.p ==? 2* 2b =b+2+2b+4 ==> 4b=3b+6 ==> b=6

b+2 ; 2b ; 2b + 4 are in AP. i.e, 4 = b - 2. So, b = 6, I suppose. What's the OA btw.?
