Mr. & Mrs. shaitan singh travel from Bombay to Goa and break journey at khandala in between. Somewhere between Bombay & Khandala, Mrs. Shaitan Singh asks "How far have we travelled?" Mr. Shaitan singh replies, "Half as far as the distance from here to khandala". Somewhere between Khandala & Goa, exactly 200 Km from the point where she asked the first question, Mrs. shaitan singh asks "How far do we have to go ?" Mr. shaitan singh replies "Half as far as the distance from Khandala to here." What is the distance between the cities Bombay to Goa? (1) 200 (2) 300 (3) 400 (4) 500 (5) None of these

The sequence 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, €Ś. has one odd number followed by the next two
even numbers, then the next three odd numbers followed by the next four even numbers and so on.
What is the 2003rd term of the sequence?

In a number system 12, 20,24 are in an arithmetic progression. What is the base of the number system?

4 or 6??
two subjects marks shuld be equal. so marks will be like a,a,b.
a^2.b = 72
2 3 6 can take teh value of a.
But a =6 then b = 2 which is not pssible.
So answer shuld be either 4 r 6..?
@Zedai 6
(x+2)+(2x+4) =4x
x=6

sum f marks obtained is= rohan's age.....yet rohan could not ans the question...[rohan knows his own age].....=> there are more than 1 set of such ans which add up to rohan's age...
highest mark in physics makes him ans..=> highest mark s indeterminable in other set/s...
3*3*8=72..3+3+8=14
6*6*2=72..6+6+2=14...
highest mark in physics..so marks obtained=3,3,8....
sum f marks obtained in other 2 sub. s than physics=3+3=6...

1st question @ x km frm BOM & 2x km frm KHANDL...
2nd question @ 2y km from KHANDL & y km from GOA..
dist between 2 questions=2x+2y=200km...
totl dist=3x+3y=300 km
@manoj_msr AM not getting how you proceeded da ...
Factors of 72 as product of 3 nos are
9 8 1
6 4 3
12 2 3
3 8 3
6 2 6
18 2 2
he is not able to find the marks after the first 2 clues => implies nos are not unique
So we can eliminate first 3
9 8 1
6 4 3
12 2 3
6 4 3
12 2 3
We are left with
3 8 3
6 2 6
6 2 6
18 2 2
3+3+8=6+6+2=rohan age not equal to 18+2+2
if its 18+2+2 he wouldve been able to find the markss but hez not able to
so its either 3+3+8=6+6+2
Now he says highest marks is physics
physics=6 not possible
So physics=8 and other 2 subjects are 3 ,3

1
2 4
5 7 9
10 12 14 16
As yu can see last number f all the rows is a square ..
and als 63*64/2 - 2016
So 2003rd number will be an odd number in the series which ends with 63^2 = 3969.
So 2003rd number will be 2969 - 26 = 3943???
