Yes. You can surely do that.

is there a chapter on Simple and Compound Interest in NCERT books? If yes, which class and which chapter? thanks.
@cadmium

thanks mate..:)

please tell me how can I

1. find the remainder when 2^729 is divided by 11
2. find the remainder when 21^21^21 is divided by 11

@krittikau Remainder theorem..Arun sharma is good for this..

@nramachandran don't u think these are obsolete now a days..whatever material i have from time and arun sharma..they have standard quant and DI..DI this year has been a menace for me be it cat or nmat..do i have any suggestion on some materials for QA and DI and even critical/verbal reasoning..suggestion puys!!

refer to arun sharma. the answers are as follows
1. 6
2. 10
explanation for 1.
2^5=32
2^729=32^145*2^4
write 32 as (33 - 1).since 33 is a multiple of 11 the only term that is left is -1*2^4. write -1 as 10.
10*2^4=160
160%11=6
explanation for 2
write 21 as 22-1
therefore the term becomes (22-1)^21^21
since 22 is a multiple of 11 the only term remaining is -1^21^21 =-1
-1/11=10

e(11) =10

729mod10=9

so 2^729mod11=2^9mod11=6

similarly 21^21mod10=1

so 21^1mod11=10

@nikemen thanks

In how many ways 180 can be written as product of 2 coprime factors?

@krittikau Please click on like if you want to say thank you. No need of creating seperate post for that.

A man lends 9000 at r rate of interest for the first year. Next year he doubles it and in the third year he triples it and so on. If he gets back 15000 after a period of three years, what is the rate of interest in the first year.options - 9%, 9.09%, 10%, 11.11% 12.5%can I have a less calculation intensive method? thanks.
9000+9000(6x/100)=15000
6x/100=2/3
x=9%

5,36
9,20
Total 4 cases
@nirzone does any1 agree with me..and awaiting your valuable inputs

4 it is. Formula is 2^n/2 where n is number of distinct factors. Similarly find number of sets of factors of 180 where both of them are coprime

1)6
2)10
@pirateiim478 or just do 2 to the power (n-1), n is number of diffrent prime factors..

Find the remainder when the sum 2^100+2^200+2^300..+...+..2^10000 is divided by 7
a) 2
b) 0
c) 1
d) 6
e) None of these.

😁 Both are same!! Try other question in same post.
One more question=> How many right angled triangles are there in which
1. One leg is 12
2. Hypotenuse will be 12
