ome questions ans bataye.........1)A toy factory manufactured a batch of electronic toys. If the toys were packed in boxes of 115 each, 13 boxes would not be filled completely. If the boys were packed in boxes of 65 each, 22 such boxes would not be enough to pack all of them. Coincidentally, in the end, the toys were packed n in boxes containing n toys each, without any remainder. The total number of toys was 1444 1434 1424 1454

2)A and B started a business with Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 35,000 respectively. They agreed to share the profit in the ratio of their capital C joins the partnership with the condition that profi t will be distributed equally among A,B and C and lays Rs. 2,20,000 as premium for this, be shared between A and B. This is to divided between A and B in the ratio of 10:1 1:10 9:10
1 10:9

3)
From a circular sheet of paper of radius 10 cm, a sector of area 40% is removed. If the remaining part is used to make a conical surface, then the ratio of the radius and the height of the cone is
3 : 4
4 : 3
1 : 2
1 : 1
4)Two chord of circle 2a and 2b are mutually perpendicular to each other . The distanc e of the point of intersection from centre is c which is greater than radius of the circle. Find radius of the circle
5) 2sin(pi x/2)=x^2+1/x^2
find x-1/x

The radius of a circle with center o is root 50 cm. A and C are two points on the circle ,and B is a point inside the circle . The length of AB is 6 cm, and the length of BC is 2 cm . The angle ABC is a right angle . find the square of the distance OB .

dis forum much helped me...thnku all of u guys..:)

Please solve this:

1.Due to increase in price of eggs by 20% two eggs less were available for rs20.the present rate of eggs per dozen is what
Pls solve this one:If (a^4+a^2)(b^2 +b^4)=8
and a^2+b^2+ab=4
then find value of ab?

Please solve this:1.Due to increase in price of eggs by 20% two eggs less were available for rs20.the present rate of eggs per dozen is what
present - rs x / 12

for 20 => 12/x*20

new price - rs 1.2x /12

so 20*(12/x - 12/1.2x)=2

==> 2/x=1/10
==> x=20

so new=1.2*20=24

(a^4+a^2)(b^2 +b^4)=8

==>a^2b^2(a^2b^2+a^2+b^2+1)=8
==>a^2b^2(a^2b^2+4-ab+1)=8

taking ab=x

=> x^2(x^2-x+5)=8

what are the options, not getting integer
@ASR2013

Let x be the Original cost of 1 egg..

Thus, 1 rupee worth will buy 1/x egg..Thereby, 20 rupee worth will buy 20/x egg..

New, Cost of 1 egg= 1.2x

Thus, 1 rupee worth will buy 5/6x egg..Thereby, 20 rupee worth will buy 50/3x egg..

Given, 20/x - 2 = 50/3x

=>x = 5/3..

Thus, New rate of Eggs= 1.2*5/3*12 = 24..

3) 2*pi*10*6/10=2*pi*r
=> r=6

pi*6*l = pi*100*6/10
=> 6l=60
=> l=10
=> root(r^2+h^2)=10
=> h^2=100-36=64
=> h=8

r:h => 3:4

increase in price of eggs by 20%

MEANS decrease in cosumption by 1/6 which is equal to 2

so initially he consumed 12 eggs

then what @krum

420*1/2*2/3*3/4*4/5 equals to 84

300 *1/2*2/3*3/4*4/5 equals to 60

84-60 equal to 24

Please if possible solve this,

My friend Shuba works in a post office and she sells stamps. One day a man walked in and kept seventy five paise on the counter and requested, 'Please give me some 2 paise stamps, six times as many as one paisa stamps, and for the rest of the amount give me 5 paise stamps.' The bewildered Shuba thought for a few moments and finally she handed over the exact fulfilment of the order to the man €”with a smile. How would you have handled the situation?

@Atulit123

Each of the 2 paise stamps is coupled with six number of 1 paise stamp..Thus their total worth is 8 paise..Hence a maximum of 5 pairs(1 2 paise stamp n 6 1 paise stamp) can be bought, for buying an integral number of 5 paise stamp..

Hence, the final combination offered by me wud had been 30 1 paise stamp, 5 2 paise stamp and 7 5 paise stamp.. :)

@Atulit123

5 stamps of 1 paise
30 stamps of 2 paise
2 stamps of 5 paise.
