Option 2 if a
If a>b, then none of these.
@IIM-A2013 option 2 if a is less than b.
@mINDoVERmATTER
if a= 3 and b=2
@krum
if a=10 and b= 2 then d is also coming.
answer is 2 in book

anyone ?In the sequence 1,9,7,7,4,7,5,3,9,4,1, โ‚ฌลš every digit from the fifth on is the sum of the preceding 4 digits mod 10.Does one of the following set ever occur in the sequence?a) 1,2,3,4 b) 3,2,6,9 c) 0,1,9,8 d) 7,9,5,3
anyone ?
b...coz found out that 6 was not occuring in the series upto the point where i found.....may be im wrong........
For what value of n will the sum ( 2^1096+2^2248+2^2n ) be perfect square?
A 2008
B 2010
C 2012
D none of these
....post the method too puys :)

hi puys I am new to PagalGuy....looking forward to learn a lot from you....3:)

None of these?

Going by the option....perfect squares can never end with the unit digit 2,3,7,8

for 2008--2n = 2^4016--> 6 unit digit
2010 ---2^4020 ---> 6 unit digit
2012-----2^4024----6 unit digit...

also 2^1096+2^2248 = 6+6 (unit digits)
so all three options on adding....gives 8 as unit digit..whch can never happen in perfect square case.
@milestogo3 :I dont know the exact answer....but I dont think your answer is amiguous in any way.....thanks amigo

(2^6)(2^10)^odd + (2^8)(2^10)^even + 2^2n = xxx6 + xxx6 + 2^2n.
so going by options now. -> xxx2 + 2^4016 = 2^6*24 + xxx2 = 8 (no sq ends in 8).
xxx2 + 2^4020 = xxx2 + xxx76 = 8 (no sq ends in 8).
xxx2 + 2^4024 = xxx2 + 2^4*76 = xxx2 + xxx6 = 8 (no sq ends in 8).
hence, has to be NOT.
@Enceladus :thanks

My take:none

4^548 + 4^1124 + 4^n

as if it has to be square,the power of one among the three terms should have been odd (observation from (a+b)^2)
