But It is not mentioned normal coin... Wont that affect?
nope. By default it would be a normal coin. Check out probability questions. The questioner never mention whether some coin is special, unless it is a special case. We automatically assume that it's a coin with two possible outcomes either head or tail :D

But in this question there was a mention of special coin so asked. Neways no prb.. Will assume normal coin nw... P.S. sorry for spamming...
7 coinsIf shared in ratio 1:5:8, 1 coin is left out... Means in other words if we divide the total no by (1+5+8) i.e. 14, 1 is remainderSimilarly in second case, if we divide the total no by (1+3+7) i.e. 11, remainder is 0.Least possible such no is 99.So by first case 1 coin is left out & remaining distributed in ratio 1:5:8. Hence C gets 56.N in second case 99 coins are distributed in ratio 1:3:7. So C gets 63.Diff.=7
Yaa ye remainder vaale method ke alawa solve ho skta hai.. Ye hamesha valid hota hai kya or haan to kaise??? Strike hi ni kiya ye to!!!!!!!!!!!

Jahan tak I knw is prb ke liye yehi simplest way hai. ATDH saar ne bhi yehi method se karke bataya hai. U can check his soln very well explained. \\_O_____// http://www.pagalguy.com/posts/4247728
