Let S = {2006, 2007, 2008,…….., 4012}. 'K' denotes the sum of the greatest odd divisor of each of the element of S. Find the value of 'K'.
odd terms in the series= 2007, 2009, 2011....... 4011
for the terms that are divisible by two,
odd divisors =2006/2, 2010/2, 2014/2, 2018/2..... 4010/2 =1003+1005+......2005
for the terms that are divisible by 4,
odd divisors=2012/4, 2020/4, 4012/4....=503+505+507+.........1001

and so on..
for the terms that are divisible by 1024, odd term=3072/1024=3,
for the terms that are divisible by 2048, odd term=2048/2048=1

So, the sum will make a series:
1+ 3+ 5+7+9+11+13+15+.......... 4009+4011= 2006*{2*1+(2006-1)*2}/2= 4024036

It's coming out to be 26 degrees approx.

Let /_SPT = x

Then, /_ PST is coming out to be = 3x = /_PTS

Hence, 3x + 3x + x = 180
=> x = 25.71 = Approx 26 degrees ..
A dishonest shopkeeper uses 800 gm weight instead of 1ks and mixes 20% impurities to wheat. Find his gain %.

@ScareCrow28 i know the answer 😃 can u please explain how u solved it.

Use the property that angles opposite to equal sides are equal. PQR = PRQ = X
Similarly, RQS = RSQ = 2X
SUT = TSU = 3X..
I am in office right now, making a diagram and posting is difficult 😞 sorry for tht ..

The shopkeeper uses 800 gm weight instead of 1kg
In that he makes a profit of (200/800)*100=25%
Again he makes a profit of 20% by mixing impurities
Successive profits
Net profit= 25+20+(25*20)/100=50%

26??

A dishonest shopkeeper uses 800 gm weight instead of 1ks and mixes 20% impurities to wheat. Find his gain %.
Profit1 = 200/800 = 25%
Profit2 = 20%

(1+25%)(1+20%) = (1+P)

=> P = 1.50 - 1 = 0.5 = 50%

@ScareCrow28 i marked TRS=4x.(sum of externally opposite angle) . u have marked it 3x.how ?

@mailtoankit yes it is 26 u got it right :)

You have understood it now, isn't it??

let 1gm = 1 rs

selling quantity
=> x*120/100 = 800
=> x = 666.66

so , profit = 666.66*A% = 1000
=> A = 50%

angle RSP+angle RPS=angle TRS
x+2x=3x(exterior angle prop.)
@ScareCrow28 i am sorry,by seeing the diagram,i thought my appraoch was right,but when i checked with mine,i had marked TRS=4X. I got overexcited and said i understood,when i actually i had not fully got it.can u explain once.

In /_\ SRQ
/_SRQ = 180 - (2x+2x) = 180 - 4x
Also, /_SRQ + /_PRQ + /_SRT = 180
From here, /_SRT = 3x
Hope you unerstand it now??
@ScareCrow28 ya ya got it,thanks for bearing with me,.For SRT i was considering the wrong traingle i.e RSQ, whereas i should have taken traingle SRP.
If a car passes as many electric post in three minutes as it goes in kilometers per hour, how far apart are the posts?
If N = (63^1!+2!+3!+....+63! )+(18^1!+2!+3!+....+18!)+(37^1!+2!+3!+....+37!)than the unit digit of N is ...........??
