A medical practitioner has created differentpotencies of a commonly used medicine bydissolving tables in water and using the resultantsolution.Potency 1 solution: When 1 tablet is dissolved in 50ml, the entire 50 ml is equivalent to one dose.Potency 2 solution: When 2 tablets are dissolved in50 ml, the entire 50 ml of this solution is equivalentto 2 doses,… and so on.This way he can give fractions of tablets based onthe intensity of infection and the age of thepatient.For particular patient, he administers 10 ml ofpotency 1, 15 ml of potency 2 and 30 ml ofpotency 4. The dosage administered to thepatient is equivalent to (1 mark)(1) > 2 and ≤ 3 tablets(2) > 3 and ≤ 3.25 tablets(3) > 3.25 and ≤ 3.5 tablets(4) > 3.5 and ≤ 3.75 tablets(5) > 3.75 and ≤ 4 tablets
10/50+2*15/50+4*30/50=160/50=3.2=> option 2

6800

Let speed of bus-1 be S1 and bus-2 be S2
And total distance be D
Then, 7/S1 = (D-7)/S2

And, (D+D-4)/S2 = (D-4)/S1

From both equations we get D = 17km
Hence, One round trip = 34kms
Total cost = 5*34*20*2 =6800

Let x be the distance between the two terminals and v1 and v2 be the speeds of two buses.

v1/v2=7/(x-7)=(x-4)/(2*x-4)
=> x^2-17*x=0=> x=17

=> Total distance traveled by both the buses=2*(17*2*5)=340
=> total cost incurred =340*20=6800

let speed of bus A = 7 and of bus B = x
|A|------7-----(1st meeting point)----(x - 4) -------(2nd meeting point)-----4-----|B|

(x + 4)/7 = (10 + x)/x

x^2 + 4x = 70 + 7x
=> x = 10

total distance = 7 + 10 = 17

so , there are 20 trips in total , total cost = 17*20*20 = 6800
A and B together can do a piece of work in 16 days.B and C can do the same work in 32 days.After A worked for 4 days,B for 12 days,C takes up and finished it alone in 48 days.In how many days will each of them complete the work?

A takes 160/7 days
B takes 160/3 days
C takes 80 days

1/A + 1/B = 1/16
1/B + 1/C = 1/32
4/A + 12/B + 48/C = 1
4/A + 4/B + 8/B + 8/C + 40/C = 1
1/4 + 1/4 + 40/C = 1
40/C = 1/2
C = 80 days
1/B = 1/32 - 1/80 = 6/320 = 3/160
B = 160/3 days
1/A = 1/16 - 3/160 = 7/160
A = 160/7

a+b = 100/16 = 6.25%
b+c= 3.125%

4a + 12b + 48c = 100%
a=4.375,b=1.875,c=1.25

a=22.8
b=53.33

690?

90/(3v4)-90/v=30/60
v=60 km/h

in 30 mins train cover 90 km
so in 210 mins train will cover....210*90/30=630km
initial distance=1*60 =60km
total dist=630+60=690km
