So, Ans should be 4
11. In a bombing attack there is 50% chance that anyone bomb will strike the target. Two direct hits are required to destroy the target. How many bombs must be dropped to give a 99% chance or better of completely destroying the target.

The clock gains 15 minutes in 30 hours (from -5 to +10)
At 12:00 noon it is 5 minutes behind, hence it has to cover 5 minutes to show the correct time
which it can do in 10 hours
12 noon + 10 hours = 22:00
@pratyush9811 : Please don't discuss the CAT 2012 questions. You are under NDA. If somebody reports, it might result in cancellation of your CAT'12 registration.

LCM is all about the highest power of the prime no.
We have to find the powers of 6 here. 6=2*3
So, find the highest power of 2 and 3 in a number
Highest power of 2 in a number less than 200 is 7 (128)
and that of 3 is 4(81)
Hence the highest power of 6 will be 4

Q)At 7:00 AM,Ravish started from A towards B and Amit started from B towards A.At 9:00 AM they crossed each other and continued towards respective destination.if time taken by Ravish is 3 hours more than time taken by Amit. Find ratio of Ravish speed to Amit's speed?

Could someone explain it using V1/V2=sqrt(t1/t2)?

The funda behind the formula is:
1. if two person A and B start at the same time from different points and travel in opposite direction towards each other then, the ratio of speed of Sa/Sb = root(Tb/Ta) where Ta and Tb are the time take by A and B to reach the destination after they meet.

2. if two person A and B start at the different times from different points and travel in opposite direction towards each other then, the ratio of speed of Sa/Sb = root(Tb/Ta) where Ta and Tb are the time take by A and B to reach the meeting point.

A watch, which gains time uniformly, was 5 minutes behind the correct time when it showed 11:55 AM on Monday. It was 10 minutes ahead of the correct time when it showed 06:10 PM on the next day. When did the watch show the correct time?
In 30hrs incorrect clock has travelled 15 mins ahead
It'll gain 5 mins in 10 hrs
Hence correct time is shown at 10pm

How can I use the 1) scenario here
