There are only 9 symbols to represent the number now => The number is now written in base 9 instead
so, converting (3016) base 9 to base 10 = 6 + 9 + 0 + 729*3 = 2202 ?

As here we are dealing with only 9 digits instead of 10, we are dealing in base 9
3000 in base 9 is 3*9^3 = 2187
Now, 3005 and 3015 will not be there
So, 14 units more, mean actual pressure = 2187 + 14 = 2201
Alternatively just write corresponding positions of the digits in the number and then convert in base 10.
In this question 0 is 0, 1 is 1, .., 4 is 4. But 5 is missing so, effectively 6 is 5, 7 is 6, 8 is 7 and 9 is 8.
Hence 3016 is effectively 3015 in base 9
=> 2201 in base 10

It will be 5 right ?? as digit 5 is not there in the meter. (But 6 in base 9 is 6 in base 10)

let tata:birla=k:1
=> (75000*a+64000)/(a+1)=70000
=> k:1=6:5
let birla:reliance=m:1
=> (64000*m+1)/(m+1)=69000
=> m:1=4:5
==> tata:birla:reliance=24:20:25
==> Average profit=(24*75000+64000*20+73000*25)/(24+20+25)=71086(approximate)
