Three identical bottles are each half filled with alcohol solution. When the content of the third bottle is divided into two halves and each half is poured into each of the first two bottles, the volume concentration of alcohol in the first bottle becomes smaller by 20% of its concentration and that in the second bottle increases by 10% of its concentration. What is the ratio of the initial quantity of alcohol in the first bottle to that in the second bottle?

River Snail has two bridges across it that are exactly one km apart. One day Shashwat was rowing his boat upstream at a constant rate and in doing so, he passed under the two bridges on the way. Just under the second bridge the rubber float that he was carrying fell into the water. Further fifteen minutes passed before Shashwat realized that he had lost his float. He then turned round and began rowing, still at the same rate in the direction from which he had come. He finally caught the float under the first bridge. How fast does the Snail river flow?

Let b be a positive integer, a = b^2 - b and b >= 4 then a^2 – 2a is divisible by
15/20/24/all of the above.
I did this :
a^2 - 2a
= (b^4 + b^2 - 2b^3) - 2( b^2 -b)
= b^4 - b^2 - 2b^3 + 2b
= b^2 ( b^2 - 1) -2b (b^2 - 1)
= (b - 1)(b+1)(b-2)(b)
Now, for instance apply the value of b = 4, 5, 6.
It is divisible by all of the above values.
But the answer is 24.
Can someone please tell me where am i going wrong?😠

Three friends-A,B and C-went to the passport office to submit their passport applications. If they saw that there were exactly six queues, numbered 1 through 6,in how many ways can the three of them join the queues?
216
270
300
336
The OA for this question is 336.
However, I am not able to understand why it cannot be 216 - 3 different things (friends) going to three different places(queues) - similar to the way we put 4 different letters in 5 different envelopes in 5^4 ways.
can someone please explain.
Thanks in advance.
