The factors of 12 in increasing order are 1,2,3,4,6,12
i.e. a total of 6 factors
We see that
product of 1 and 6th number =12

product of 2nd and 5th number = 12
product of 3rd and 4th no = 12
and so on

What happens if the no of factors are odd
Plz extend this logic to determine which numbers will have odd no of factors..

Along a corridor there are 100 doors marked as 1,2,3...100. As u know the doors can be in two states...open or close... initially all doors are closed. Person no 1 changes the state of all doors that are a multiple of 1 i.e. basically all doors. Person number 2 then changes the state of all doors that are a multiple of 2. This happens till person number 100.

Now how many doors are closed..

Hint.. Try to find for a particular door, how many persons will change the state...

A function f(x) is defined as (x + 1) × f(x + 1) + x × f(x) + (x – 1) × f(x – 1) = 0 for x 2 ≥ . If f(1) = 40

and f(6) = 180, find the value of f(14).

1.Twice the money with B is taken from A and divided equally between D and C.

2.Half the money with D is taken from C and given to D.

3.Thrice the money with B is taken from C and divided between A and D in the ratio 2 : 1.

4. Two'fifth of the sum of money with D is taken from him and given to B.

After these four operations it was found that each of A, B, C and D had the same sum of money. "
