Raju attempted 18 out of 20 questions. his scorecard showed 60% marks. he knew that some marks were deducted for incorrect answers and no marks awarded for un- attempted ones. Rahela also attempted same no of questions, got 25% more marks than raju and and attempted 2 more questions correctly than raju did.
A car had to travel a total distance of 600km. After travelling a part of the distance, it developned an engine problem, It travelled the remaining distance with 4/5 of the speed. It arrived an hour late. Had the engine problem occurred after he travelled 150 Km more, the CAR would have arrived half an hour earlier at its destination. Find the distance travelled without any problem...
Isme I followed approach that let x distance be the distance travelled without problems = speed of car
x/s + (600-x)/(4s/5) = 600/s + 1 ............ (1)
(x+150)/s + (450 - x) / (4s/5) = 600/s + 1/2 .......... (2)
After solving i am getting X = 70/33 which is incorrect Please correct me,

A submarine needs to take in 1000 gallons of water if it wants to submerge 1 ft in water. The height of the submarine is 20 ft and it is currently submerged 2 ft in water. A battleship 150 km away sees it and fires a torpedo 2 ft below sea-level towards the submarine. If the submarine can take a maximum 3000 gallons of water in one minute, what should be the minimum constant speed of the torpedo for it to hit the submarine, if the submarine starts submerging just as the torpedo is fired?

A fast train and a slow train travelling in opposite directions cross each other in 40 seconds, while the fast train crosses a man sitting at the front of the slow train in 16 seconds. Had the trains been travelling in the same direction, the fast train would cross the slow train in 90 seconds and cross a man sitting at the back of the slow train in 36 seconds. What is the ratio of speeds and the ratio of the lengths of the fast train to the slow train respectively?
