A contractor employed a certain number of workers to finish constructing a road in a certain scheduled time. Sometime later, when a part of work had been completed, he realised that the work would get delayed by three - fourth of the scheduled time, so he at once doubled the number of workers and thus he managed to finish the road on the scheduled time. Sometime after the new workers were introduced, all of the newly introduced workers left the work due to heavy rain and the efficiency of the remaining workers reduced by 20% due to which the work finally got completed by delay of 60% of the scheduled time then how much still remained incomplete by the end of the scheduled time?

A person travels from A to B. When travelled at 6mph less than his normal speed, time taken will be 80 minutes more. If he trabels at 4mph more than his normal speed, he'll take 80 minutes less.. What is the distance between A and B? Plese explain with procedure also 😃
A swimmer jumps from a bridge over a canal and swims 1 km upstream. After that first kilometer, he passes a floating cork. He continues swimming for another half an hour and then turns around and swims back to the bridge. The swimmer and the cork arrive at the bridge at the same time. The swimmer has been swimming with constant speed. How fast does the water in the canal flow?
Two planes move along a circle of circumference 1.2 kms with constant speeds. When they move in different directions, they meet every 15 seconds and when they move in the same direction one plane overtakes the other every 60 seconds. Find the speed of the slower plane:(a) 0.04 km/s (b) 0.03 km/s (c) 0.05 km/s (d) 0.02 km/s
I am stuck with the probability question from AIMCAT 1406. Says, "what is the probability that an arc on the circle x^2+y^2=9/pi^2 is of 1 unit at the max?". From what i read in Ravi handa sir's post, we should plot the feasible region on the coordinate axes n our probability will be area of favourable region divided area of the sample space. In the solution given, they have simply taken it on a linear scale. Can somebody explain what i am missing?
P is a set of all natural numbers with four factors such that sum of the factors, excluding the number itself is 31. Find the sum of all the elements in P?
Deep and Ana decided to work togethr & complete the construction of a road. However, as Deep went out of town, Ana startd work alone and finished 1/4 th of the road and took 'x' days more than what they would have taken if they worked together. After this, Ana fell ill and Deep workin alone, completed the construction of 1/3 of the remaining road and took 25/16 x days more than what they would hav taken if they had worked together. Finally both of them worked together and completed the remaining road the whole process takin a total of 121 days.In how many days can deep alone complete the construction of entire road?
