An aeroplane first flew with the speed of 440 km/h and covered a certain distance. It still had to cover 770 km less than what it had already covered but it flew with the speed of 660 km/h.

The average speed for the entire flight was 550 km/h Fin the total distance covered ?

Let S be the set of all pairs (i, j) where 1 ≀ i have one constituent of the pairs in common and β€œenemies” otherwise. For example, if n = 4, then S = {(1, 2), (1, 3), (1, 4), (2, 3), (2, 4), (3, 4)}. Here, (1, 2) and (1, 3) are friends, (1,2) and (2, 3) are also friends, but (1,4) and (2, 3) are enemies.

For general n, how many enemies will each member of 5 have?

For general n, consider any two members of S that are friends. How many other members of S will

be common friends of both these members?

Four people are running around a circular ground in 432 km race of 2 laps. Initially they all separated by 1/4th of the circumference of ground and their speeds are 10m/s, 20m/s, 30m/s and 40m/s respectively. After every hour they exchange their speeds such that A takes B's speed, B takes D's speed, C takes A's speed and D takes C's speed. Find the time taken by winner to finish the race.

a) 3hrs b) 4hrs 51min c) 4hrs 48 min d) None of these

A starts from point P towards north at a certain time and after sometime B also starts from point P towards North and catches up with A at 12 noon. Had B started an hour later , he would have caught up with A at 4 pm. What is the ratio of speed of A and B????with approach...

Find the total number of zeros at the end of the following number. (1!)(2!)(3!)(4!).........(99!) ?

A shopkeeper sold a two-digit number of toys all priced at a certain value (also a two-digit number when expressed in rupees). By mistake he reversed the digits of both, the number of items sold and the price (in rupees) of that item while entering in the computer. So, the stock left at the end of the day showed 81 items more than it actually was.

Q.1 How many possibilities exist for the actual number of toys sold?
a)1 b)2 c) 3 4) d

Q.2 If the faulty calculations show a total sale of Rs.486, what was he actual selling price (in Rs.) of each toy ?
a) 54 b) 45 c) 63 d) 36

hello guys.. m having trouble in solving algebra problems. any shortcuts of tips for it?

the number of whole number solutions to the equation 5x+8y+11z=100 is?..how to solve this question?..i mean i can solve it by substituting z=11,22 ,33 etc and the solve for 5x+8y=100-11z,then physically counting all the cases..is there any better method.Don't have OA.
