Little help on this one. Don't know where i am going wrong here. The question goes like this way.
a+b+c = 17. a,b,c can be from 1 to 6. (both included)
How many ways of arranging them is possible ?
a+b+c = 17 ..giving them min 1 each a+b+c = 14. total ways -> 16c2
now we will deduct cases where a/b/c is more than 6. so we substitute 7 in one variable.
So a+b+c = 14-7.
So a+b+c = 7. total ways - 9c2.
So required answer = (16c2 - 3*9c2) = 12.But if you go by traditional way you only get 3 cases as your
ans 665, 656,566.
