find the present worth of a bill of Rs. 3380 due 2 years hence at 4% CI. also calculate true discount ?

Ive adoubt regarding instalments in case of SI. let us say we have to pay three instalments; x1; x2 nd x3 for a amount to be paid as P at rate r.. Can sumbdy plz tell how it is calculated.

In case of CI:
first instalment=x1
so principal after payment of first instalment=P-x1
x2=(P-x1)(1+r/100)
x3=(P-x1-x2)(1+r/100)..
Is it correct?

how to proceed in case of SI?

an urn contains 5 white and 8 black balls. Two successive drawings of 3 balls (without replacement) is done.Find the probability that the first draw gives 3 white balls and the second one gives 3 black balls.

The answer is given as (5C3/13C3)*(8C3/10C3). My question is why is it not (5C3*8C3)/13C6 .Please elaborate. I am guessing there are some repetations but I cant understand clearly.

interest per annum could be (The interest is always calculated only on the remaining principle.)

(1) P = Rs.250, X = 10% (2) P = Rs.200, X = 20% (3) P = Rs.225, X = 25%

(4) P = Rs.100, X = 40% (5) None of these
