The cost of fuel for running the engine of an army tank is proportional to the square of the speed and Rs. 64 hour for a speed of 16 kmph. Other costs amount to Rs. 400 hour. The tank has to make a journey of 400 km at a constant speed.

The most economical speed for this Journey is:

A.20 kmph

B.32 kmph

C.35 kmph

D.40 kmph

Consider three friends A, B and C who work at differing speeds. When the slowest two work together they take n days to finish a task. When the quickest two work together they take m days to finish a task. One of them, if he worked alone would take thrice as much time as it would take when all three work together. How much time would it take if all three worked together?

A. 3mn /(2m + 2n)

B. 2mn /(m + n)

C. 4mn /(3m +3 n)

D. 5mn /(3m +3n)

AIMCATs are given by roughly 20k people and around 2 lakh ppl register for CAT. So what is the general trend of %ile increase or decease in CAT 2013 from that in the AIMCATs..Considering the same level of accuracy and marks and toughness level of the paper???

In how many ways can the letters of the word MOBILE be arranged so that at least two consonants remain together ?

A tank is fitted with four large and ten small filling pipes. Through each large pipe, water flows twice as rapidly as through each small pipe. All the pipes were opened simultaneously when the tank was empty. At the moment when the tank was expected to be full, it was found to be only two-thirds full, due to a leak at the bottom. The leak was then plugged immediately but only by 50%. If all the pipes can together fill up the tank (if there is no leak) in 71/2 hours, how much more time is needed for the tank to be full, after the leak was partially plugged?
