A lot consists of 10 good articles, 4 with minor defects and 2 with major defects. Two articles are drawn at random, find the probability that neither has major defects.

I have 2 approaches to the problem.
i) 14 C 2 / 16 C 2 (16 total articles - 2 major defect article) = 0.7583

ii) 1 - (both have major defects) = 1 - (2 C 2 / 16 C 2)
= 0.9917

Why do the answers differ. Please explain.

there are 13 teams playing in a tournament. team wining will get 3 points, draw is 2 points each, 1 point for losing the match. Team wining the tournament scores 30 points, none of the teams are ending with the same point, then what can be the minimum number of points scored by the team that stood last..?

Options: 12 0 18 cannot be determined...
