This is a ques. from Arun Sharma LOD 3. tried searching for it in other threads but cudnt find it.

In an economy, the rate of savings has a relation to the investment in industry for that year and the following three years. the relation is such that a percentage point change in investment in industry for that year has a relation to the total production output in the next 4 years. A 2 percentage point increase in the savings rate in a year, increases the investment in the industry of the economy by 1%. Further, the rate of investment also goes up by 0.5% in the next year, by 0.25% in the 2nd year and by 0.25% in the 3rd year. Also assume that investment in an economy is only dependent on the patterns of savings in the previous 3 years in the economy. the percentage change in investment in a particular year is got by adding the effect of the previous years savings pattern.
In fiscal 2004-05, the rate of savings in the Indian economy 25%, while that in the Pakistan's economy is 20%. this has remained constant since 1999. In 2005 -06 the saving's rate in the Indian economy suddenly rises by 5 percentage points to 30% while that in the Pakistan's economy rises by 2 percentage points to 22%. It is further known that the value of the investment in the industry in the 2 countries was 2 mn dollars and 1.8 mn dollars resp. (for the previous year). The percentage difference between the investment in the Pakistani economy to that in the Indian economy in 2006-07 will be (if it is known that there is no change in the saving rate in 2006-07.

My approach:
If the savings in Indian economy increase by 5% point in 05-06 then investment shud increase by 2.5 percent in 06-07 .
So, 2mn x 1.05 x 1.025 = investment in 06-07 in India. But by this approach im getting d wrong ans. Where am I going wrong??
