A beaker of capacity 4 lit is completely filled to brim with aqueous Hydrochloric acid containing 75% HCL. Spherical pebbles ,each of volume 0.1 cc are dropped into the beaker and as a result of this some part of the mixture overflows . If the pebbles are removed and water is added to the beaker so as to exactly replace the volume of the mixture overflowed ,then the resultant concentration of Hcl in the beaker is found to be 60 % .Find the number of pebbles that were dropped into the container .

Jeevanlal made 10% profit on selling a toy . If he had purchased it for 10% lesser than the cost price purchased it at 10% less cost and had he obtained 30% profit he would have recieved rs. 49 more . what is the origial selling price ?
From second line are they trying to say , Purchasing the toy at 10% of 10 % of original cost price and obtaining 30 % profit the difference in profit is 49 . ? i couldnt get the sentence formation there !
Assuming above
cost price of toy = x
original selling price = 1.1x
Profit = 0.1x
Now
.9(0.9(x)) =o.81x is the new cost price
and 1.3(0.81x)= 0.891x is the new selling price ,which is 49 more than original profit received (right ? :o) .
Profit = 0.891x-0.81x = 0.081x
so 0.1x+49=0.081x
.919x= - 49 ?
can some one xplain the approach ?
