Harry Potter starts at the point (0, 9) on the plane. He has to destroy a number of horcruxes from three rivers, in the following order: the Nile River, which is the line y = 10; the Amazon River which is the line y = 0, and the Yangtze River which is the line x = 10. After visiting all three rivers, he must then bring the broken horcruxes to Dumbledore's Lair located at (8, 5). What is the shortest distance that he can walk to accomplish this goal?

As shown in the figure, a cow (C) is nearby a river. She first reaches the river in a straight path, drinks water and then heads towards the grass (G), again in a straight path. Given that CG = 10 m, CC1 = 3 m and GG1 = 8 m, where C1 and G1 are the points where the perpendiculars from C and G touches the river, can you help her in finding the total length of the path for which the total distance traveled to reach the grass is minimized?

Sorry for this silly query but how to solve A+B+3C=10 AND |A|+|B|+|C|=10 @chillfactor

Madhusudan had a certain amount diluted milk in which ratio of milk to water was 4:5.He boiled the diluted milk with the intention of getting a concentration of 50%,but he boiled in excess and the initial ratio of milk to water was reversed. He boiled the milk for a total of 12 6/7 mins. If the rate of evaporation of water is 50% more than that of the milk, find the time for which the milk was boiled after having reached 50% concentration??👍

Four runners take turn to run around a quadilateral(all sides are unequal) race course such that one runner runs across one side only. They run with speeds of 'a' m/s, 'b' m/s, 'c' m/s,'d' m/s, though not necessarily in that order. The values of a, b, c and d are four consecutive numbers such that only one number among a, b, c and d is composite number and they took minimum possible time(integer) . find minimum possible perimeter of quadilateral

Raman has a faulty balance scale for selling fruits, having beams of unequal length. But he don't want to cheat his customers so he tries to give the correct quantity by following method: He takes half of the fruits and places it on one pan, with weights on the other pan. Then he weighs the other half by switching the pans, i.e. by removing the weights and putting the fruits on that pan. Is the sold quantity is equal to, less than or more than the required quantity ?

Hemant and Ajay started a two length swimming race from the opposite points simultaneously. They swin in the lane with uniform speed. but hemant is faster than ajay. They first pass at a poing 18.5 meters from the deep end and having completed one length each one is allowed to take 45seconds of rest on the edge. After setting off, on the return length the swimmers pass for the second time just 10.5 meters from the shallow end. How long is the pool ?
