@td_bouncer

The micro manometer in a certain factory can measure the pressure inside the gas chamber from 1 unit to 999999 units. lately this instrument is not working properly. The problem with the instrument is that it always skips the digit 5 and moves directly from 4 to 6 . What is the actual pressure inside the gas chamber if the manometer displays 003016?2201 2202 2600 2960

Puys can anyone clear the doubt ? Base ka question mein mera base dagmaga raha hai...

@chillfactor @scrabbler Can you tell me why the given number "003016" is in base 9..? because i suppose base 9 includes [0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8]..so if digit 5 is missing why do we consider it as base 9..😠

solve:

In how many different way a fruit basket can be filled with at least one fruit if we have 7 different apples, 5 different mangoes and 10 identical oranges?

Don't have the answer...

"0.abababab.....=c/d, where c and d are single digit relatively prime numbers. If a and b are also single digit whole numbers not necessarily distinct, how many distinct values can the number ab assume?"

I don't understand the second part of the questions. What is it trying to say?

the answer to this question is 8.

If we list all the natural numbers below 10 that are multiples of 3 or 5, we get 3, 5, 6 and 9. The sum of these multiples is 23.

Find the sum of all the multiples of 3 or 5 below 1000.

In parallelogram ABCD, angle A > 90°. ABP and ADQ are two equilateral triangle outside the parallelogram. Find angle PCQ.

"How many factors of 4^5 x 5^4 x 6^3 are perfect squares but not perfect cubes?"

The answer is 39.

I tried to solve it as 5 possible factors of 2 (0,2,4,8,10) x 2 possible of 3 (0,2) and 3 possible for 5 (0,2,4). = 30.

The correct answer, it seems, calculates all possible ^2 factors, minus all possible ^3. Why is my approach wrong?

Thanks.

here is the solution

Directions: The question is followed by two statements. Decide whether the information provided in the statements is sufficient for answering the question. In a rectangular box of thickness 1 cm having same length and breadth, four identical cylindrical cans are packed closely in a single row. What is the length of the box?(A) Volume occupied by the four cylinders is 88 cubic cm.(B) Height of the cylinder is 7 cm.

1. If the question can be answered by using one of the statements alone, but can not be answered by using the other statement alone.

2. If the question can be answered by using either statement alone.

3. If the question can be answered by using both statements together, but cannot be answered by using either statement alone.

4. If the question cannot be answered even by using both the statements together.
