Everything seems fine except the highlighted portion - especially 8 that is unit digit of 2^11 or 2^31 or 2^51...But actually they would have given you the unit digit 6 and NOT 8,right?BTW,You shown have put tremendous effort in this one,Thanks
Can you cross check it again.......??????????

@mani0303 97 IS answer for which one katrina one or other library oneAnd how
I think as they are two independent events,the prob of both of them being correct is 1/8*1/12 = 1/96

So,a + b = 97..and I really dunno for what sake they have given as 1/1001 and all;)

@floamiya - It's my mistake...Thanks
@mani0303 No thanks please, i dint do any thing, you learnt your self, i only accept thanks after final selection, though its also not required.

God bless U...!!!

The probability that they get the correct answer, given that they got the same result, is what is asked. Possibly I am misinterpreting in some manner.

So the way I see it...the probability of both getting the same correct answer is 1/96.
And the probability of both getting the same wrong answer is 1/1001 (given)
So required prob is [1/96] / [1/96 + 1/1001] = 1001 /1097.

8?

If we take 10! out,then we ll left with (even + 1) that can't possibly have 2 in it

@sameersapre23 - it's 2
