three diggers dug a ditch of 324 m deep in 6 days working simultaneously . during one
is it 15 m ??

Efficiency of A:B:C 14 :12:10 => 7:6:5 =>

workdone split up for 324 m ditch in 6 days will be

7*18 : 6*18: 5*18

pershift for A = 7*18/6 = 21

According to my assumption, first digger is C
so 5*18 /3 = 15

15..assuming 3 shifts per day
A circle is divided into 12 equal parts by the points A1, A2, A3, A4, ..... A10, A11 and A12 as shown in the figure. Find the ratio of the measure of angles ˆ A1PA4 to ˆ A3QA4.

One day's work of all the three = (324)/6 = 54 m

Ratio of rates of work of third to first is 7:5

So,Second one would work in the rate of 6...

Per shift,the first would dig 54*(5/18) = 15 m
@2013IsMine explain the process

almst same as @mani0303 ...calculated the ratio of efficiency..7:5..and then further using that 324 in 6 days!

@2013IsMine
i solved by using options and their work will be A.P will lead to 15 and by another method having average 18 so other two will have 18-x and 18+x so 15 is answer 😃
your method is good nice to learn new method :)

Is that 3:1?

6:5??
There is a track on the outer boundary of a rectangular field ABCD (AB = 300m and BC = 200m). Initially Aman and Baman are at point A and B respectively. Both Aman and Baman start moving along the track in anti-clockwise manner at the same time with the same speed. If 'x' is the shortest possible distance between Aman and Baman at any instance then the minimum possible value of 'x' is (neglect the width of the track)

a 150 m
b 150√2 m
c 200 m
d 200√2 m
e 300 m
