36 aa raha hai....
b=d^1/3..so minimum d = 27
b=3
a= c^1/2
minimum c= 4
a=2
total 36

@nramachandran said: A function f(x) is defined as (x + 1) × f(x + 1) + x × f(x) + (x – 1) × f(x – 1) = 0 for x ≥ 2 . If f(1) = 40 and f(6) = 180, find the value of f(14).
Replace x by x+1 in the function and take difference of the new equation with the previous equation to get (x+2)f(x+2)=(x-1)f(x-1)
So, f(1)=4f(4)=7f(7)=10f(10)=13f(13) and 6f(6)=9f(9)=12f(12)=15f(15)
Put x=14 in the original equation.
15f(15)+14f(14)+13f(13)=0 =>6f(6)+14f(14)+f(1)=0 => f(14)=(-6*180 - 40)/14 = -80

start from x = 2
3f(3) + 2f(2) + 1f(1) = 0
3f(2) + 2f(2) = -40
4f(4) + 3f(3) + 2f(2) = 0
4f(4) - 40 = 0
4f(4) = 40
now put x = 5
6f(6) + 5f(5) + 4f(4) = 0
6*180 + 5f(5) + 40 = 0
5f(5) = -1120
7f(7) + 6f(6) + 5f(5) = 0
7f(7) + 1080 - 1120 = 40
proceed like this only..
14f(14) + 13f(13) + 12f(12) = 0
14f(14) + 40 + 1080 = 0
14f(14) = -1120
f(14) = -80

100 marked price commision 10%... price.. 90. cp=x 1/5=(90-x)/x x=450-5x 6x=450 x=75 commission =15% ... price 85 gain% = 10*100/75 =13.33%? correct me if i m doing it wrong. :)

baat answer ki nahi hai it proves i got to work on my maths skills.. Look first calculate the cost incurred by the newspaper company by selling 12000 copies C.P = 12000*11=132000 Now lets calculate the income by selling it at the marked price but if the newspaper agency receives 40% incentive on rs 3 it means the agency gives the newspaper company rs 1.8/newspaper Thus for 12000 newspaper the company receives 12000*1.8=21600 hence a loss of 132000-21600 = 110400 Now the company prices the advertisement price as 300 per centimeter and gives a incentive of 15% so the company gets 300 - 15% of 300 = 255/ad but the company has to make up a loss of 110400 So the minimum break even point where the company ends up in profit will be at 110400/255 = 432.9 ~435

x = 100/115 * 100/85 * 5865
x = 6000
Thus, discount = 900 ?
