Question :How many divisors of 10^5 end with a zero?13916
9
P.S. It should specify only 1 zero otherwise answer will be 25..

Question :How many divisors of 10^5 end with a zero?13916
10^5 = 2^5*5^5 = 2*5(2^4*5^4)
hence, aese toh 5*5=25 aa raha hai...

bhai likha hai wahan "a zero"
which means 1 zero at the end..
@gautam22 said:
kaise sir 25 aayega?
10^5 = 2^5*5^5 = 2*5(2^4*5^4)
If atleast 1 zero, then --> 5*5 = 25 .. :splat: Kya haal hai bhai?

Question :How many divisors of 10^5 end with a zero?13916
OA : 9
the question states " a zero"...
had it not been a zero..then i guess 25 aayega...which many of you are getting..
but for this it should be 1 zero at the end...
2*5
2^2*5
..
..
2^5*5

then
2*25
2*125
2*625
2*3125

so total 5+4 = 9 divisors...
@gautam22 said:
sir "i guess end with a zero" doesn't mean "end with 1 zero"
Well I knew the answer...so had to assume it...and tried to take out the logic of a = 1..

u can do it like this...

2*5(2^4*5^4) -> 25..
2^2*5^2(2^3*5^3) ->16

so, 1 zero wale = 25-16 = 9..
@ScareCrow28 @gautam22 and everyone else...
Nishit Sinha se liya hai...
blame him ..
I was just trying to look for a way to make the question right....anyway since 25 is not in the option take it as 1 zero at the end..
