67?

should be 67??
153 = 17*9
e(9) is 6
500%6 = 2
2^2%9 = 4

e(17) = 16
500%16 = 4
9^4%17 = 16

=> 9p+4 = 17q+16
or 67...

------------------------------------------

Aur ques daalo bhailog.....aaj phadai karte hai.. :D

solve this series...4,20,24,6,2,8...

remb only 2 optn...other i forgt..
16
18...

this series i got in paxterra compny written exm..

i have a doubt

153 ko 3 *51 se spit kar sakte the kya

ya 9 aur 17 me isi liye split kiya kyu ki they are co prime to each other?

Must be co-prime while using CRT :)

to use CRT
if x is a*b
and remainder is ap+k = bq+l

then a and b should not have any factor common to them other than 1...

Very first point in my post above... :)

4
5*4 =20
20+4 = 24
24/4 =6
6-4 = 2
2*4 = 8
8+4 = 12..
Repetition of operators *, +, / and - with "4" ..

Ans 12 hai kya?

First step is the only one which doesn't match...should have been 4*4 = 16. Or else 1st term should have been 5.

Yeah! I guess, only he would tell! You are absolutely correct ( As Always )

such questions have frail logic, don't you guys think?? hence they don't appear in any of the bade wale exams ie CAT,XAT et al

Actually, they can make better questions in series! It's useless to make whatever they want! I can make a series question which no one may be able to solve! Possibilities are immense
@ScareCrow28 exactly my point...multiple answers, multiple possibilities. bad question(s)

9k+4 = 17l+16
we get the first common term as 67..
hence 67 should be the remainder..
