Can someone post a quick and small note about what all functionalities/calculations can be achieved from scientific calculator provided on the CAT Mock website?

While shopping at a market, Villon noticed Hiro approaching him. The distance between the two was 250 m and Hiro was moving towards Villon at 18 km/hr. Villon took 5 seconds to realise that he owed some money to Hiro. After this realisation, Villon started fleeing from Hiro at a speed of 54 km/hr. After this, Hiro took 10 seconds to realise that Villon was getting away. Upon this realization, Hiro increased his own speed to 72 km/hr. From the time Villon saw Hiro, how long did it take Hiro to catch up with Villon and what was the distance that Hiro covered during this time?

a container contains a mixture of two liquids A and B in the ratio of 7:5. when 9 litre of mixture is drawn off and the conatiner is filled with B, the ratio of A and B becomes 7:9. how many litres of liquid A was contained by the container initially.?

what should be the approach to this type of problems.

Total five students, named A, B, C, D and E from five different colleges, named P, Q, R, S and T (not necessarily in the same order) participated in a debate competition. The highest score by any participant was 105 and the lowest score was 90. The students were ranked from 1 to 5 in the descending order of their scores. 1.Student B scored 6 more points than the student from college R and 9 more points than student D. 2.Student E was not from college P. 3.Student C's margin over the student from college T was twice that of student A's margin over the student from college Q. 4.The student from college S scored 3 points more than student E.

Three persons A, B and C start travelling from city P at 4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. respectively. All the three reach the point Q simultaneously and continue beyond that point. C reaches the point R first and turns back immediately towards P. Thirty minutes after turning back, he crosses A.

If the distance between P and Q is equal to the distance between Q and R, then the time at which all the three reach Q is

Two vessels, A and B, contain milk and water respectively. The volume of milk in A and the volume of water in B are in the ratio 4 : 5. Now, x litres of milk from A is poured into B and then y litres of the solution from B is poured into A. If as a result, the concentration of milk in A and that of water in B, both dropped from 100% to 662/3%, find x : y.

can anyone please explain the approach?
