Clarification needed on conversion from base X to decimal .
I came across a question in which 8^25 in base 8 when converted to decimal became 10^25 .
In another question , 2^100 in base 7 when converted to decimal system became 2^49 .
My confusion is why we did not convert 25 (exponent) in the first case to decimal system but did that in the second case . The exact question is :
