Consider four digit numbers for which the first two digits are equal and the last two digits are also equal. How many such numbers are perfect squares? (1) 3 (2) 2 (3) 4 (4) 0 (5) 1
A control panel, containing n switches, numbered from 1 to n, is used to operate n different machines, named M1 to Mn, in a workshop. The control panel with n switches, each operating exactly one of the n machines, is present in one room, while the machines are all placed in another room. The laptop which contains the details of which switch on the panel operates which machine, is infected with a virus and all the relevant data was lost. Now, Mr. Rajan, the operator, wanted to match each switch on the panel with the corresponding machine that it operates by manually checking them out.
However, as the machines and the control panel are in different rooms, each time that Mr. Rajan turns on or turns off one or more of the switches, he has to go to the other room and visually identify the machine/s which has/have been turned on or turned off, and he is then said to have performed one check.
In the process of performing his checks, Mr. Rajan has no additional source of information, other than visually identifying the machine or group of machines that have been turned on or turned off. Further, in any check, if he identifies a group of machines that have been turned on or turned off, then he can only associate that group of machines with the corresponding group of switches that he operated (i.e., turned on or turned off) in that check, without necessarily being able to match each switch operated with the exact machine that it operates.
Initially all the machines are turned off.
Unless mentioned otherwise, assume that all the machines and switches are in working condition.
Select the correct alternative from the given choices.
If n = 5, then what is the minimum number of checks that Mr. Rajan has to perform to match all the switches with their corresponding machines?a)1 b)2 c)3 d)4

A leather factory produces two kinds of bags, standard and deluxe. The profit margin is Rs. 20 on a standard bag and Rs. 30 on a deluxe bag. Every bag must be processed on machine A and on machine B. The processing times per bag on the two machines are as follows:

Machine A 4 5
Machine B 6 10
The total time available on machine A is 700 hours and on machine B is 1250 hours. Among the following production plans, which one meets the machine availability constraints and maximizes the profit?

Belated Happy Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Pooja ends on Poornima, but at many places it might have already ended.
Ganesha is said to have attained 'Vaak Siddhi' meaning whatever he says will happen becomes a reality. It is also said that a regular worshiper of Ganesha gains 'Vidya' Siddhi meaning whatever he/she learns will not be forgotten easily and will have sharp brain.
The beej mantra 'Om Gan Ganpatye Namah' is used for Ganesha siddhi. Ganesha Sankatnashan Srotra is said to start giving results in 6 months of daily recitation. If one wants a sharp mind, worshipping Lord Ganesha with Saraswati with the mantra 'Om Vidya-Ganeshay Namah' is said to be fruitful.
Worshiping Ganesha with Laxmi gives wealth. Worshiping Ganesha with Shiv, Parvati and Kartikeya gives marital life happiness.
If Ganesha is worshiped with 'durwa' grass, green clothes and modak, on Ganesha Chaturhi, he is said to fulfill wishes.
