1-- Three Sections -- Quant, Verbal, DI&LR. 2-- Quant and Verbal will have 34 questions each and DI/LR will have 32 questions. 3--Time -- 180 minutes. (60 minutes for each section, you can't switch in between sections while answering, that means you can't allot different time to different sections according to your comfort). 4-- Some question in each section may be of multiple choice type. Instead, direct answers are to be typed on screen. 5-- A basic on-screen calculator will be available.

CAT 2015 Pattern inferences for non engineers
1) QA without DI will help in reducing scores for us
2) 34 Qs in 60 minutes for QA would be very tough and on top of that,this section will have very high scoring so one needs a great raw score to be in the 90+%ile group atleast.
3) 32 LR-DI Qs IN 60 Minutes would be a tough nut to crack. will have to start practicing it very seriously from now.
4) VA in 60 minutes is still ok,but time is less compared to the questions. in the 50-50 format i used to spend around 90 minutes doing 34-35 VA Qs,so ussme bhi watt lagegi. u need speed and accuracy
5) i have been in AIR TOP 50 In CL this time and yet can say,apna kuch nahi hoga idhar,start prep for non CAT exams like IIFT/XAT/SNAP/CMAT/TISS etc.
6) Already engineers are feeling happy saying it would help them and that the pattern is engineer friendly. i disagree coz all have equal chances in LR-DI. we should not let these engineers assume that Non engineers means stupid people !! they are just engineers,not Some genius ! we too have some brains to crack LR-DI Sections ,after all no one has stamped us with a mentally retards tag. common ,non engineers pool preparing for CAT,we too have a good chance,(not exactly doomed ,even though my name suggests doomed for life).(1 needs a + point among those 5 negeative ones ) !
