Dear Puys

It is my pleasure to introduce MYRA School of Business' Official Admission query thread for PG users. This thread will be useful to get information on the b-school's application process, admission criteria, important dates, course structure, pedagogy, differentiating factors, developmental tools in the program etc and to network with fellow applicants.

According to the b-school, it was born out of the need to redesign management education in the country and bridge the quality gap. With a stellar line-up of renowned professors from top-ranked global and Indian institutions led by Dean Prof. Rajiv Sinha, the goal is to bring a blend of Indian and western perspectives and methods of teaching to add intellectual diversity in the classroom.

The Governing Board includes experts from Wharton and IMF Regional Training institute, amongst others.

With the fantastic facility and global faculty from the likes of Wharton and others, it is great value for money.
As for the CAT, the cut off is 90 to 95 percentile. What matters is also your prior professional experience, academic aptitude and the essay, that form the basis for selection to our programme.

So min cut off is 90%ile??
What if candidate's cat score is a bit low, but over all academics are good..wil he make it to GD/PI?n if he does quite wel in GD wil his CAT score effect in final conversion??

PS: "his" referred above is me, i screwed my cat paper a bit

As we had written earlier, your CAT Score is important up to a point and not the only criterion. It all depends. We take into account your graduation score , experience ( if any), your essay, your extra curricular activities, leadership traits, your attitude and other factors. We look for well rounded, bright , self driven , and motivated students. Both IQ, EQ ( Emotional Quotient), and SQ ( Social Quotient) are important. If you have other factors do not worry too much about your CAT score. Please note your essay plays an important role too.
So, to answer your question specifically, if you are over all academics is good, you will make it.

Also i would like to know the procedure for selection and what are the chances of an average student.
my academic details are
Xth-60.26
XIIth-58.33
BE-62.52(In 3rd and 4th year i have been scoring Distinction)
CAT expecting around 70-80 percentile

I know I have screwed up my 12th.:-(

Thank you for expressing your interest in MYRA.
MYRA School of Business considers any one of the following as the first round selection criteria:i. CAT (80 to 95 percentile)
ii. GMAT (550 +)
iii.GRE Verbal: 600+ Quantitative: 550+ Writing: 3.5)
iv. XAT (75 +)
In addition to this, there will be weightage for work experience, passions and personal mission, accomplishments, academic record of under graduate studies.
Based on this, the short listed candidates will be interviewed personally before final selection is done.

B.B.A - 65
work ex- 12 months
also lot of extra curricular participation ...

what are my chances of getting a call ???
