Anyone here converted LIBA with CAT below 75? Need honest inputs, not brochure talk
I’m a repeater. Last year CAT 76, this year dropped to 71. Will LIBA look at past CAT scores or only latest?
Which one is more forgiving for borderline CAT scores?
- LIBA
- XIME Bangalore

Do you think B-schools ACTUALLY consider profiles beyond CAT?
CAT percentile below cutoff — are you still applying to LIBA?
- Yes, profile is strong
- Applying as backup
- Waiting for XAT
- No, moving on

Does you release shortlists in phases or just one final shortlist?
How long after applying can we realistically expect a GDPI shortlist from LIBA?
Does LIBA consider only the latest CAT score, or is there any weightage to previous attempts?
Applied to LIBA last year. Process was pretty smooth, but they took time to release shortlists. Don’t panic if there’s radio silence for a few weeks
One thing I noticed about LIBA. their forms actually ask detailed profile info. Felt more holistic than many colleges
How much variation is there between highest and average packages at LIBA?
LIBA releases results in Phases
For the Academic year 2026-27, LIBA would accept only CAT 25 and or XAT 26 scores
GD/PI process is expected to start from Feb 14. You can message me for further details
The variation between average and highest CTC of LIBA is 10 LPA
Would like honest student POV.
Tbh LIBA surprised me. I joined thinking it’s a ‘decent Chennai college’, but the academic discipline here is tight. Profs come from IIMs, XLRI, and the case studies are actually applied — not PowerPoint theory.
I joined for the brand and ended up loving the community. Very Jesuit-style ethics and culture. Not a party campus but great exposure to social projects + solid placements if you hustle.
I chose LIBA over NMIMS Bangalore and honestly no regrets. Chennai weather kills you but the network, prof quality and discipline made me industry ready.
Campus is inside Loyola College — so infrastructure is already premium. You’re surrounded by greenery, cafes, and the classic Chennai vibe. Safe and decent crowd.
