how is IBA banglore in terms of placement and faculty members

Hello Students and Parents,

PGDM is a diploma course where as MBA is a degree given by a University. Don't join a college which is just AICTE approved but go for a college which has a NBA or AIU certification. If you have a CAT, XAT score of above 60% and MAT, CMAT score of above 75% or a better Graduation percentage, kindly then don't join IBA. Instead opt for better colleges where you will have better scope and opportunities ahead. Also if you have a job experience of 6+ months from a reputed company then don't make a mistake of coming here. Your growth will be stagnant. College will remove you in case you fail in more than 3 subjects in first year. There is no re-exam or improvement examination.

If you are planning to pursue higher studies in Financial, HR or Business Analytics, then it is a wrong choice here. IBA offers only 5 specialisations (Finance, HR, Operations, Business Analytics, International Business) which has to be combined with Marketing (Compulsory). As a dual diploma certification course you will get average placements of 4 Lakhs. Highest package is 7 lakhs. All the job opportunities here are of Sales and Marketing.

In case you are planning to join here then take 3 sharing hostel room for boys as it is spacious compared to others. For girls it will be a tough life here as the food doesn't have enough nutrition to keep you fit. And hostel is compulsory for 2 years. Mess is pure vegetarian without any fruits or curd. Mess will be closed for every 10 days during dinner i.e, closed for 3 days in a month as a part of mess union off which is common.

Washing of clothes is strictly prohibited inside campus as there is water scarcity. There is a paid service of laundry available who will take Rs. 30/pair.

Gym availability is based on instructor availability and with fixed timings. Timings to get inside campus is restricted to 9:30pm due to bad locality and safety. Non-veg, Alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited inside campus, if caught then there is no option than getting expelled out of course with zero refund of fees.

You have to wear formals (full sleeve shirt, pant, tie and black leather shoe/socks for boys) and (western formals / Salwar suit for girls) till 9:00pm in the evening Mon to Sat.

Faculty is good here with combination of academic and industry experience. Maximum students come from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala here with Others parts being the minority. There is big rift between North and South Culture but all festivals are celebrated with great pomp and joy. You have to pay Rs. 5000 extra apart from regular fees for cultural.

There are many good colleges in Bangalore like XIME, IFIM, Acharya, Christ, Welingkar, PES, IBS, Dayananda, St. Joseph, Kristu Jayanti,

Ramaiah, Jain University, GIBS, TA Pai, ITM & Alliance  University which has a better reputation with Multi National Companies around the globe.

There will be 2 exams conducted in the same day during your term examination, so you need to study everyday to cope up pressure. Seniors and juniors relationship is ok with moderate ragging as police rules are strictly obeyed but will be ragged in a different way.

Everyday at night 9:30pm there will be a attendance to check if all are inside campus or not. Heavy fine will be imposed and consequences will be severe in case you fail to follow the rules.

For any queries you may drop an email to [email protected] with your complete details (Full name, current college, interested area of specialisation).

No electrical accessories like hair dryer, heater, induction stove is allowed. If found then you will be out of hostel immediately.
