IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Hello Everyone, Department has sent the attached mail to all the aspirants. This time there will be no GDPI process, and the admission offers will be given on basis of Academic Background, Work Experience, Cat Score and other details. There is no breakup of criteria as of now. Most likely, the shortlisted candidates will be asked again to upload the latest documents and then admission offers will be processed. If the admission is done based on only CAT marks with no GD ,PI . then they should refund the application fees .For what process they need 1600 then .

Hi I had 38 months of exp till the time i submitted application form. GEM candidate and Cat OA is 94.10 sectional 82 93 and 96. 10th 89.5 12th 72.6 Grad 71.63 As GDPI won't be conducted , any chamce of conversion??

Asking because I need to know should I drop the resignation? I just need a premeditated guess. Won't be blaming in any scenerios. :)

Hello fellow candidates, 


In light of the cancellation of GD-PI process for the admissions, I hope that we are all at consensus that the same cannot be negated for the admissions process. 


I understand that other B-schools have been conducting the admissions processes online. Given the fact that 55% weightage is assigned to GD-PI, it could be a game changer and it cannot be scrapped.


I strongly believe a collective representation of all prospect candidates to the admissions department of IIT Kanpur may prompt some reconsideration of this decision.  

Hence I appeal to every candidate to come forward in this effort.

Hello Adcom, As the GDPI is cancelled, so should we expect the refund of our application amount(Rs1600) now with some minimal deductions?

By when can we know the weightage given to various components such as CAT score, academic profile, work experience, diversity etc?
