The Media PR Cell of IIMR is a student run committee under the aegis of Student Council of IIMR. We handle a mandate of enormous importance- handling Media and Public Relations. This thread has been created to help the aspirants prepare for WAT/PI and answer their queries. We are here to address you queries and questions about admissions 2013-2015.

@IIMRanchi Hi seniors,I have a query regarding merit certificates and scholarships.I received a scholarship from SAIL for my class 10 performance.Can I mention it as a scholarship.
Also can I mention my scorecards in engineering entrance exams like AIEEE and WBJEE as merit certificates .Also what all things come under the purview of merit - certificates and scholarships.Also the form has to be filled in one go(or login) or can I save my details and edit later as in IIM-K form.

What is the future procedure? For now only IIM Ranchi form is out ? Since they have mentioned that there will be common PI & WAT process of the six new IIMS then why are they asking us to fill individual IIM forms like the one for Ranchi ?
I had applied for PGP courses and got PGDM mentioned in calls? are both one and the same? I guess a college provides only one of the two courses

I made a mistake in the online registration form. Instead of overall percentage marks in BTECH, I filled up my CGPA (So instead of 81.9, I filled 8.19). That's reflecting as 8 (perhaps, rounded-off figure) after I submitted my form.
I understand that I should've been careful about it but now the mistake cannot be undone and my attempts to reach to admission committee and get further instruction have left me disconcerted.
Few concerns that I have:
1. I dropped a mail to helpline_pgdm but I didn't recieve any reply yet.
2. Helpline number is only reachable through BSNL landline phone, I assume because I have tried all the other means and these days BSNL landline phone(or a PCO where we can find it) is hard to come by.
3. Other numbers that are reachable through mobile are of third party service provider(sify, I think) and they are vague in their answer to resolve my query.
Given that I really have few options to choose from, I just cannot afford to take this lightly. So, please, guide me what to do next? I'lll really appreciate it.

@IIMRanchi Woul it be safe to say, Now that i have been shortlisted, everyone would get a level playing field or would my sucky grad scores come back to haunt me again??

I have one query. Last date for filling up form is 15th March, and according to IIM Raipur website the interviews of new IIMs will be over by then. Does that mean the form has nothing to do with interview and we do not have to take the form with us? Can we fill the form after the interview also?

Yes, you can put the SAIL one under scholarship...scorecards in AIEEE & WBJEE wouldn't count as merit certificates.
Merit certificate is issued denoting above-average performance in an examination/academics/competition...
Scholarship is one in which a grant or payment made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.

Yes, you need to fill the form before 15th March - everything has a purpose.
PGP and PGDM are equivalent.

Instead of worrying about the grad scores, it's more useful to focus on what you can change--that is the interview outcome; prepare well.

Yes, you can fill the form later on as well, but it is advised to take the form along with you...
