Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee, who is currently serving as the Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is also a member of various Government Advisory Committees such as Governing Council, Global Agenda Council on India and more. He is also a recipient of the honorable China- India Friendship award.

Every student who enters a B-School experience excitement and curiosity regarding what's in store for them. This stint at B- School begins with the most awaited orientation ceremony, which acts as a prelude to the many bouts of happiness yet to come.Â
DoMS, IIT Roorkee hosted the orientation ceremony for the batch 2020-22, in a first of its kind manner, virtually by adapting to the new normal situation.Â
The ceremony started with the warm welcome to the students by the esteemed Head of Department Dr. Mukesh Barua and other dignified faculty members.
The students were introduced to the ecosystem of enabling centres like Training & Placement, Alumni Cell, IPR, EDC, TIDES, DIC, and Residential facilities. They were made aware of opportunities that would socially integrate them into the college culture.
Finally, the session ended with a thank-you vote by senior Class Representatives.

Dr. Viral V. Acharya is currently the C.V.Starr Professor of Economics in the Department of Finance at New York University Stern School of Business (NYU-Stern). He has also served as the Deputy Governor of RBI during 2017-2019.
