wo uska bol rahe ho?? ok ok.
@chandrakant.k My God yaar, u are soo GOOD!!! 😁 I cud'nt stop laughing 😁 Though don't u dare write the blog part under ur Hobbies for the IIM interviews. They will kill u then & there :)
@ordinary_guy : Awesome Boss.... This piece of information about prep is just so so helpful....THANKS THANKS....
I need another help...should I PM U?
@ShuvamJoy Wow, u make it sooo evident that u indeed have nothing to do right now 😃 So, in ur words, when ur "heart is broken" is this what u do? 😃 U should rather introspect why u failed rather than put up the example of the boy who has SUPPOSEDLY succeeded (I'l check his name in the list of IIM converts when I go to CL this sunday for my GD/PI class). It makes u sound so pathetic..... See i could also call up RAHUL-->Ask him to Scan his Class-10, 12 marksheet --> Take a printout of the Rejection Email from K with all parameters clearly marked --> Scan it & send both these to me--> Then I'l forward it to u.

But as I said, I HAVE CALLS!!!! I don't have time for this crap as I've alot of prep to do, something that u will realize if u ever get a call for THE BIG 4!!!! As i previously said, anyone is free to distrust me as I am not their father. They will sit for CAT themselves & will find out soon enough & then cry foul about how their dreams have been crushed..... In the meantime, just because u have so much free time, when people post heated comments in the Kozhikode thread on 28th (which happens every single year), U can sit there throughout the day & tell them "how surprised u are that they did'nt get a call, it should not have happened as ur friend himself has aced this ordeal" 😃 Get a life & a new goal for ur career my friend & stop pissing on my parade....

My Profile
Xth- 85%
XII- 86.25%
BE- 70.9%
Work Ex - 29 Months
CAT'12 - 78.5%ile
Will give a shot once more this year 😃

@SBRPhoenix Arrey yaar, dont embarass me... I am pretty sure u wud've helped me too had I needed any advise [as a matter of fact, alot of IIM-BCL seniors replied INSTANTLY to any doubt that I had. Thats the beauty of PG 😃 and here is this one guy who is so hung up on proving how ignorant I am :D] and jigesh korar ki ache? tr profile, bindass message kor.... :)
@bhargav.nitc Bhai will it be comparison if its b/w say A & S or C & MDI or B & JBIMS?? 😃 Its rather obvious :)
ALL THOSE WORRIED ABOUT WHETHER THEY WILL GET OLD-IIM CALLS (and there are sooo many who are asking this question), plz calculate it for urself from the attachment... If u know quadritic equation u can easily find out.... Here is the one for A-->

Here is how u calculate your composite score for IIM-Calcutta --> http://www.time4education.com/IIMC_Admission_Criteria_2013_2015.asp

And here is the composite score cut-off required for a call-->
http://iimcal.ac.in/pgp-application-form-pi-wat

So u can find out the missing parameter (the reqd CAT score) by putting in the rest....

Here is the one for IIM Indore in the attachment..... So as u can see from the 35%, 35%, 30% weightage to JUST the 10, 12, Grad marks and NO weightage to CAT score, u can easily understand that someone with 80+ throughout is comfortably in..... Just dont take the last line of normalization too seriously or else u will be seriously disheartened...

hahaha iss saal tho nahi.. if i get call next season, i will write some good things on IIM's and tell them that i have realised now 😛 😛

Here is the one for L. As u can clearly see, the higher ur CAT score, the greater the chances. While for female+non-engg, its party time as according to insideiim.com, a commerce graduate with 97.7 got a call. From GD-PI classes, a boy from BBA background got a call at 98.3%. An engg with

IIM Lucknow criteria regarding CAT score states that a candidate's CAT score is to be divided by the highest CAT score of 2012. By this do they mean 450 or the highest ever score by an individual?

as you had already given two attempts for CAT, IMO you should prepare now by yourself and join at least 2 TEST series of any two(TIME,IMS,CL,TF)
Thanks for the reply.
See my problem is that I have been doing the same thing from past 2 years in CAT and I didnt succeed. So, I guess there is the problem with the strategy and last year I felt that I need someone to clear some doubts. I agree that I wont be needing all the classes or may be no classes but there is always a need that you can have something to go anytime and discuss things. Its just about something that I didnt do in Last 2 years. Can you suggest something on that?
TIME/IMS/CL kisi ka Delhi me May/June se CAT 2013 k liye class room course start hota hai kya?? Help please.

Hello everyone.I am B.E. graduate (Electrical Engineering) passed out in 2010.Currently working for a pvt. firm as a sales engineer.Got experience of 18 months for the same profile. Gave CAT last year and got a very low percentile..Planning to write CAT and other exams this year. My academics scores are just average X-70 %, XII - 55 % B.E. - 65%.I am thinking of leaving my current job and join an NGO (work full time) or conduct tutions or do a part time job as I am finding this sales job a bit hectic for me and am not loving my work. I know deep down that's not the way to go, but the job openings that I get through e-mails are all sales / marketing. Also, I don't want to take a year gap, sit idle at home and just prepare for CAT and other exams. It will give a negative impression and might pose problems for me during GD/PI time. Please advise me as to what I should do. I am confused..Thanks
Quit job only when you have another option ready in front of you - MBA admission or another job! Otherwise the gap which you think you don't want will creep in without you realizing it! Job hunting is very tough these days and good jobs are very hard to come by (even with an MBA!).

Part time work exp will not be considered and it will be taken as equivalent to being idle, although you can mention it in your interview, in the forms you fill initially your work exp will be till Jan 2013 or 18 months (assuming you quit this month!). Again joining NGO, tuitions, all look good from your perspective as you will get time for CAT prep. But what will you say in your admission interviews? How is it aligned to your career aspirations? You can't of course say that you quit current job and did whatever else you did, to get time for CAT prep (even if you don't say it the interviewers are smart enough to get that part!). So it leaves a not so good impression overall. You can't multitask, a skill which is looked for in an MBA grad/aspirant!!
