How are the placements in IIT Kharagpur?
I am a 2013 engineering grad.....got campus placed at a leading MNC ....waiting for its joining letter to come...been 6 months...have wasted enough time ....want to apply for CAT 2014....!!!
1) If d MNC joining comes in between d preparation, should i go wid d MNC, get work experience nd try after 2 yrs OR continue wid d preparation???
Kindly note d risk of leaving the job ...u never know bout d CAT score !
2) If i get a decent score, will it be a disadvantage to apply as a fresher wid no experience nd a year wasted !!! wat impression does it put in d interview ???

Guys I seriously wish that the IIMs reevaluate our scores. Also I wanted to know how this petition would work and has something like this happened before.. And now that the shortlists are out, when would these guys take action????

Even if the IIM's don't reevaluate the scores of some candidates who feel cheated in one section or the other, i strongly feel that time has come for IIM's to explain NORMALISATION process in detail.......everything that is involved in this process from raw score(out of 180) to scaled marks(out of 450) should be explained now........IIM's reputation is at stake and something needs to be done so that it is a fair process for everyone.
Life is a Gamble and so are these Entrance Tests (perhaps after a particular level of preparation)..
Hope we lie on the other side in the last big Gamble -- XAT .

OA - 98.93 , QA - 96.85, VA - 98.37, X - 93.5, XII - 86.2, ENGG - 72, WORK EX -NIL.

Do I have a chance at IIM K, IIM I and IITB ?? Already have rejections from IIM A, L, C (as expected).
