Hello Everyone, I have a doubt....
I have been working for 1.7 years now. I am just the thinking what to do with the Provident Fund if I get selected in a good b-school. Will it give me some benefit if I keep my provident fund untouched. Or should I just take the money out of it.
This is my first post so, sorry in advance if I'm not adhering to any rules.
Even though my CAT didn't go as per my expectations but I'm very optimistic👍 about tomorrow.Is it just me or does anybody else is feeling the same??👼

I am a B.Tech 2nd year Mechanical student from a private eng college. x/xii both 86.25 %. Gpa till now 8.48. I am a MBA aspirant who desperately want to join IIM's. I have started planning to sit for CAT '15. However there are certain issues which are bothering me.
1. With 0 workex, i dont know how to compete with others with so much work ex. I thought of postponing the MBA dream after i have some workex but I want to do it now as i know i will get very less time to prepare for CAT once i join and industry. Does the IIM's take persons with zero workex so often?
2.I am from a lower middle class family and even though i know that i will get education loans the costs for MBA bothers me and my family wont be able to provide the rest of money/ cost of application forms etc. Should i go for MBA and get it risked or persue M.Tech(much less risky and IIT's provide stipend too)
3. I am not sure about once i clear MBA and join a company and what if i dont like it then. What's the future (after MBA). for eg. After M.Tech i can persue PhD. What about this case?
I would request everyone to help me out of this dilemma.

Ok then, we are about to see our results and hard work that we have put into. I would like to thank the QUANTS THREAD for all the new things I have learned. It has played major role in what I have learned last year. I feel CAT is all about learning new things and my aim was to learn something new everyday irrespective of whether it is relevant for CAT or not. I would like to thank all the quants guru who cleared my doubt (hard to mention all of them here). Thank you PG and all puys, hope that we shared some good time here, In the end it is just another test, I know we all have put in some effort and expect to do well but I feel it won't decide what good and successful career we have ahead. Take the result as it comes. Thank you all.

i am currently in btech 4th year !! i donot have a job ! my nmat score is 200. I have a query that if i donot score well in cat is dropping for an year and preparing for the cat and other OMETs a good option or is it going to be negative for me because where i am currently pursuing my btech there are no placements , or should i opt for nmims banglore if i clear the interview and case discussion
