Today, I called Endeavor (leading CAT prep centre in Gujarat alongside time)....and told them abt myself....U wont believe what the prof over there told me,"U already r late for CAT 2013...lol.....most of my students started in july".....hehe....man, I am sitting idle @home, rather working in a full time pakao job........has called me for "counselling" this week....Am I thinking correctly,if I'd say "that the person wants me to get enrol asap...that's why he is using this stack of words".....

People are looking for MBA at the age of 29+. So what will they be thinking?!!
You're very young buddy. Don't worry! Since you've already lost 1 year I would not recommend sitting idle at home due to various reasons - Empty mind is the devil's workshop, sitting idle is not looked at so positively by B-Schools etc. being some of them!
So start your job hunt ASAP, and also your CAT 2013 & Other MBA entrance exam prep. If you get a job in between you'll at least have 1 year work exp (approx.) by the time you take admissions in 2014. If you don't then you can at least say you were hunting for job!
@ajaygovindg How important is doing the job in your field? I think this ques will come up in various people mind too.
I am B tech job mili nahi college m aur bad m mene kahi apply kia nahi. aur IT sector m job karne bhi nahi ab mujhe.
To agar m kisi aur field lets say Hotel management m kam kar lo to ...abhi aur fir ache MBA college k liye try karu to kaisa rahega ??
@AIM_IIM_2013 I don't think there will be any issues in that! In fact not an IT employee you should be getting a +1 there itself! :cheerio:
You can always say that there was no campus recruitment, and you didn't want to get into IT! You should be having good reasons for that though. Saying you've "heard" how bad IT job is may not be taken that well by some interviewers. Rather you can always say your interest was to do MBA and so you were searching for relevant jobs.

Has anyone taken 1st AIMTEST of TIME for CAT 2013?
left site job in a remote town(b.tech civil)....preparing for CAT 2013...........any "CERTIFICATIONS" i should vouch for if i happen to opt for marketing/operations as my MBA specializations in future............bcoz sitting idle @home is damn pagal-panti.....or learn any foreign language to cover up my being-idle and also create a strong CV
@ArunkumarCeg me...................too bad...........since unprepared n being stupid too..........comprehensions were rather story books n i believe some questions didnt had the right options too in the answer(the tap to fill the tank problem 2/3rd full in 3.5hrs...i hope so)
@sutirtha90 Doing some certification for the sake of doing it or to add a brownie point in your resume will not help. Since you're not sure of your specialization (that's how I felt reading your post), and it happens quite often that once people get into MBA they find that something they thought of is not going to be their area (happened with me, and many others who were with me), it might not be that good an idea to do a certification now just for the sake of not being "idle". Learning a foreign language will be a good idea if you're interested in. Always good to show in your profile that you know a foreign language. I would recommend Spanish, German or Chinese/Mandarin, as they are the most sought after.

Time AIMCAT series wouldn't start so soon buddy. It would start later. I guess in month of May at least.
