Hey guys this is Nitish, i am planning to take cat this year. I banked a lot on di and lr n usually use to get good score in it but in the last two aimcat's i.e. 1409 n 1408 i am not able to properly understand what question is saying, not able to solve it and i am also getting confused. just wanted to know has the level of question of Di n Lr in these aimcat's increased n they are seriously difficult or is something wrong with me. need your help n it will be very helpfull if someone has a solution to it.....

@niti9889 it happens with everyone. You dont need to panic. You are giving so many AIMCATs, ups and downs are bound to happen, CAT in itself is very unpredictable. Analyze thoroughly where you are going wrong. Go back to the concepts. Just stay put. Dont read too much into the scores. Obviously good AIMCAT scores do give you confidence but dont lose sleep over one or two bad scores.
Keep practicing. Keep analyzing your Mocks. And take it till the end. Cheers!!! All the best 😃

Its not a big deal, unless and untill ur confidence is not shattered, AIMCATS are part of CAT, so you can't do well every time, and as no. of AIMCATS gets passed,it becomes even more difficult.
And talking about CAT, questions are evenly spread for all, what makes a difference is how well you attempt the paper.
If you feel that something is wrong with you then try to put different starergy and see how it goes because CAT is all about hits and trails, you have to find out the best way to your problem...ATB!!

I dont know how (in)appropriate my question would end up to be, but yet I wanna clear the doubt surrounding it. I am a TIME student and since 2 days there is this rumour surrounding some anonymous guy 4m our batch who had scored 99.4 in CAT'12 it seems, his 10th and 12th being above 90 and 85.00 respectively wid an experience of 1 year. Despite he did not get even one call from any of the top Bschools,... Can this be a possibility????

And cumulative line graph is OGIVE in which cumulated frequencies are taken as Y and class interval as X
One major diff is, Ogive will always be upward sloping but polygon can be in shape of wave i.e. up and down

Till date I've taken 10 aimcats and in those my percentiles are :
96.73, 85.52, 90.67, 90.84, 92.55, 88.53, 89.03, 94.79, 90.87 and 91.46.
How do you evaluate this performance and in actual paper how much can I expect, if more or less my performance remains the same????

This is Shivaram vinod From N.I.T Warangal and working in AFCONS Infra a Freaking Job and was Damn Frustrated about it ..Past three months ago i was went on severe depression Due to da job Timing as well as The Envi...and Started in Searching regarding B Schools and simultaneously started my preparation but the sadist thing is i don have any one to motivate or to help or to support me...All along i am doing my own .. I am very stubborn to get any top 20 B schools ..i always hope team work will leads to great success..so guys if any one doing any group preparation please make me to join along with you...or else if any one was being in my situation lets put our hands together and can prepare to achieve successs...!!!!!!!!!!!!...we can make a group in pagal guy or whatsapp ..any idea guys..

Just yesterday i filled up my CAT, IIFT, NMAT forms.
I am starting my MBA preparations now. Just wanted to plan accordingly. Not sure how to go about.
Just a heads up about me- Last year gave CAT unprepared with knowledge of little formulas- got 95%ile. Maths and LR looked easy to me, English was tough, so was DI.
Gave 2-3 mock tests- My Marks in Section 2 are always more than in section 1.
Section-1 : Quant is weak. I have accuracy but speed is very less. Max questions i have attempted in this section is 14-15.
Section 2 : I normally attempt 24-25 questions in this. Accuracy is not much, but somehow clear the cut offs. Score can be improved i feel.
Q1- I am an engineer, still my Quant is weak. How would you advise me to go about improving my speed and accuracy ?? I feel i lack in some concepts too. I have CL study material from 2012. How should i go about ?
Q2- In English, i found out that i am extremely confused in questions where i have to choose words. Just not good enough.
Q3- Can you please guide me how to in generally prepare for CAT in 2 months. I am a working professional, so i can at max. give 5-6 hours daily for preparation.

Can anyone tell if there is a way to reset your test taking date for the CAT?
I have already received my admit card.
I am in my 7th sem B.Tech and applied for the CAT for this November . The issue is with the Eligibility form I have to make college sign saying that i have minimum 50% in my " LATEST " exam result . I have decent SGPA in my previous sems but issues , screwed up my 5th sem .
My SGPA in 5th sem now is 5.1 with 3 pending backs to be cleared . So , I wont be eligible for sitting in CAT this time just because my LATEST semester result was bad ??!! My Avg score up to now ( excluding the 5th sem result is about 7.2 ) . Please help me here . The registration and stuff is done , was just completing the forms .
