Hello Puys!!

This is going to be my first attempt in CAT.I have been working for nearly 2 yrs having passed out of college(BE) in 2011.I have always been descent in English owing to convent education.I have started preparing and want to make this my first and last shot for CAT.I am loving the study.My weakness that I have analysed so far is my quant. Not all but most of it.The major blocker is my speed.I take time to solve a question and this is a malice for DI as well.Please help me out to make this attempt for CAT successfull.Being a fresher I seek advice over quick,smart and efficient tools of both studying and nailing the exam:)

If I have to enroll for Mocks, Which one/ two Should I choose? Time? CL? IMS?.....any other name? Would be happy if someone gives their prices as well. Thanks.

I have..
75% in 10th,
58% in +2,
55% in B.TECH (2006-2013 backlogs)
70% B.Com(2010 to 2013 - Distance education GITAM univ.)
3 years (own)business experience (EDUCATION, REAL ESTATE & CONSTRUCTION, EVENT MANAGEMENT).😃

Got 70%ile in XAT, 91.5%ile in MAT december, 20000 Rank in CMAT 2012 without any formal coaching !!!😟

I know that i have a bad academic record!
Now..
My ISSUE/DOUBT is..😠😠😠
What chances do i have in getting into any B-SCHOOL in TOP 25 in INDIA ???😐😐😐

Heyy Puys, this is my first post with pagal guy. here are my acads,

82% in Xth, 72% in 12th & CGPA- 6.79 in BE from NIT-Bhopal, + Excellent sports background.


Im a 2011 passout & have a work ex of 2 years in an MNC in power sector (marketing & design profile).

This is my 1st attempt at an MBA entrance as I needed a profile change into management.


1.Please suggest the colleges I can target realistically if i start my prep now.

2. Also whether there is a need to join a coaching programme or home prep would suffice.

3. How are my chances with the IIMs.

Hey guys I love in Delhi, I wanted to ask which one to go for:-

TIME or CL, and if I join them, CLassroom programs, mocks etc

I don't even know the categories of the programs they offer, so what do you guys prefer?

Hiii Friends,

I am a mechanical Engineer having 2 years & 6 months of experience. Now I am preparing for CAT - 13

But when I go back to my dismal academics record, I panic, whether I can get into a top B _ School.

My X mark 80%, XII mark 53%, Graduation mark 67.5%.
I always feel those above mentioned nos are not of my best outcomes but my punishments for not being committal towards study.

when I listen to my intuition & my preparation for CAT (though I am 1st time appearing) I am hopeful to join a bracket of 90 to 95 percentile.

Can any of my friend here suggest me which B-Schools I should target for.

how to solve questions like the one mentioned below -
I can carry atmost 10 books. I must carry 1 book of subject A, B, c and D. Also for every A book I carry I must carry 2 or more D books. And for every B book I carry I must carry 2 or more C books. I earn 4,3,2,1 points respectively for each A, B, c and D book. I want to maximise the points. What combination of book should I carry and what would be the maximum points I can earn?

Helo , need advice from u guys , how many months of serious preparation is required for CAT- ... I jus started with my CAT prep. I had given XAT this yr ( with not much of a prep.) and scored 89%--( QA-60, verbal - 95) . I sincerely need advice in this regard...................

hi guys.. newbie here with a doubt.. i just finished my 8th sem(B.E)..preparing for cat this yr.. bt i got an arrear , which i ll hopefully clear by december.. Knowing CAT exam schedule ends before november, will i be eligible to attempt CAT or if at all i clear, will i be given admission??. pl help..tnx in advance
