I am a CAT 2014 aspirant. I have quit my job to study for CAT. After June 13 , I will be free. Currently serving notice period, I had 2.5 yrs of experience in IT field. Is it really possible to cover all of it in 6 months considering I am quite above the basic level???
And yes, I am very poor in VA section.

I am working as a Sales Engineer in a small firm from last 7 months.I completed my graduation in mech engg getting 61.1 % .I have serious MBA aspirations and preparing for it,therefore will also leave my job in september for hardcore preparation.Yesterday only I saw a certificate programme in management that will be conducted in IIT Delhi from june to sep.For thAt I wud have to leave my job which isnt a big deterrent if the course is good.Need some advice ppl.

I m a 2012 pass out engineer. Joined a reputed firm as a software engineer in oct '12 but unfortunately had an accident in dec just after completing my training. joined work again in feb.. bt since I hd to undergo a surgery and needed bed rest thereafter, the management didnt allow further leaves i hd to quit my job in march '13. It will still take me a fw more months to recover after the surgery nw. Since on bed rest I decided to prep fr cat '13.
Plz advice me if a good score would help me get a good college or this unwanted career break will prove to b deterrent for my mba aspirations..

My suggestion - TIME
TIME - good set of questions, about 20 mocks + sectionals. At times it is unrealistic. More no of test takers in general
CL - Good papers, more like CAT, 15-18 mocks + sectionals (not sure).
Btw, if you can source TIME aimcats PDF, then go for CL

I happened to know that the Income Salary Limit has been lifted from 4.5 L to 6 L for OBC-NC. It's certain that its been decided and every 4 years the limit has to be revised by the Union cabinet.But it is not yet implemented i suppose.Will it certainly be implemented form this year or next year onwards (2013 or 2014) ??? what happens if yu belong to OBC NC while applying for the CAT exam (INCOME LIMIT 4.5L in 2014 JULY),,Are we supposed t submit the recent certificate or the older certificate (submitted in the PI) is enough?? Pls reply,that would be reli helpful
I have joined for TIME Test series. What are the options if one cannot give the test in center? I heard it appears in missed AIMCATS. Do we get a percentile ranking if not given in the center?

I find most of the TIME AIMCAT questions unrealistic. CL questions are more CAT like.
I've 2.7 years experience in Infosys, now I quit my job for CAT 2013 preparation. I got 99%le in sec-1 in CAT 2012. If I teach quants for Time4education, will it count as work-experience when I apply for IIMs or other B-schools?
It seems we don't have a separate discussion thread for exams other than CAT. Could someone share the info as to what is the exam format for IIFT & is it a college that could be considered if someone's aiming at the top-20 colleges???...can someone share its last yr papers??? TIA 😃

I am new to this forum and my first thread. I am preparing for my CAT 2013 and decided not to go for any coaching classes as i don't have ample time as a working professional. I am looking to prepare from some good books and various resources available online.
Is anyone else out there who is working in a similar way? If you are, please reply in this thread so that I can prepare.
I already have Arun Sharma's Quant + DI + Verbal books and i'm doing it right now.
