Guys!! Am in a dilemma.. I am working in IT industry for the past 20 months.
My profile is as follows:
X- 87.2% (CBSE)
XII - 85.4%(CBSE)
Grads - 78.8%
CAT 2012 - 92.53(QA/DI - 99.05, VA/LR - 52.87)
Have a PGCIM(SPJIMR)-IESEG(France)-1yr program convert this year. Haven't decided abt taking up the option.
Poor extra curriculars.. 😞
Now given the online nature of CAT and the time period of 6 months left for it, should I start my preparations for CAT or should I focus on GMAT prep ? I seriously consider doing an MBA this yr itself. Having said this, I am also a bit diffident abt scoring the godly scores in CAT that many in this forum do.. If at all I score, will I be able to make it to the IIMs or other top b-schools given my average acads and overall profile? Pls provide ur perspectives!! Thanks in advance!!

I Have a query. I want to buy the entire courseware from TestFunda, but am confused if I should really go for it. I have T.I.M.E materials. Should ijust continue with them or look forward to TF material tooo. If someone has already bought them, do their materials have any extra handy tips, something that TIME books dont have.

I have a dilemma. I've got through this course PGCIM at SPJAIN which is for 1 year, half the time at SPJain and half in France at IESEG. I don't know if I should go ahead with this or give CAT again in 2013. I already have 2 years of work ex. Postponing my MBA to next year adds another year to it and restricts my options of good worthwhile colleges (because of the placements of these colleges). Please guide, thanks.

Ppl are really getting into the CAT scene early this year. But going through this thread I saw a lot of apprehension regarding bad profiles and low acads. Here is my profile :
10th : 93
12th : 82
grad : 75
Work ex : 7 mths [at the time of interview]
Absolutely no projects or extra currics.
In short there was nothing in my profile that could be asked in the PI. But as they say hard work never goes unrewarded.
I somehow managed 99.99 in CAT 2012 and converted IIM C and L. So I am sure u guys with much better profiles can surely do it.
As far as criteria go dont focus on which calls u will get right now, just focus on your prep and maximise your CAT scores. Knowing that A or B will never give u calls should not influence your prep. At this time what is most important is CAT, u will have ample time to prepare for interviews after CAT.
