m sure they change the mock every year.. just not sure whether the change the topic tests and other types of test on the sis account every year! I hope they do cause CL is neways the best in my opinion!

@cenajohn184 Yes......n if sum1 is planning 2 take only 1 test series den he/she sud never try TIME......coz it vill juz change ones perception abt CAT.....I ve dun dat mistake.....so this tym i vil take IMS,CL & TF.....

aisa hai ki i gave cat 4 d 1st time in 2012 par 2-3 aimcat dete hi mujhe samjh gaya tha ki its not at all useful. personally i never scored more than 72 percentile in aimcats n average toh aur bhi kam tha around 60 percentile par mujhe hamesha se hi mujhe confidence tha ki i will definately score better n scored 87.6 percentile (PROPER preparation had started jus 2 months before actual cat) . phir bhi will join time again for cat'13 bcoz uski audience vakai kaafi badi hai

@cenajohn184 Same story here bhai.........gave all of the AIMCATs n appeared in CAT12....n found actual CAT is easier than AIMCATs......have never scored more than 70 in AIMCATs....but got 92 in CAT12......

Puys don't take AIMCATS as abusurd or not as par CAT line.
I can give you EXamples of many puys here who used to score 99% + in AIMCATS but ended with >85%ile. Even i am the victim of the same used to score 85% in nearly all my AIMCATS. As per my experience i suggess you all to give all the attention to AIMCATS or whatever test series you have.
It's of immense importance.:)

@sameersapre23 In my view if any1 takes AIMCATs.......he/she should take atleast 1 other test series to know the actual CAT's depth.......I m nt saying it's absurd.....AIMCATs helped me to get a decent score in CAT12....But ,buddy....u ve 2 admit that it's too tough as far as the CAT's level is concerned.......

@bvdhananjay If u dont mind me answering bhai, NO!!! Not just CL but basically no coaching institute (CL, TIME, IMS) changes the contents of the student page (topic test, Full-Length test)...As a matter of fact, they dont even change their material for years [TIME is still better in this regard as they atleast give ADDITIONAL HANDOUTS to its students on something extra but the core material is the bloody same thing].... U should definitely try out TIME's (if u have already taken the Topic Tests in SIS) as SIS will be definitely same year after year....

@amit468 No No, NOT MOCKS!!! See above, in my post, I have mentioned about the STUDENT HOMEPAGE material, meaning the Topic Tests, Full-Length Tests, Sectional Tests---> those sort of things.... Obviously EVERYONE changes their mocks [1 or 2 questions may be common if they are of the important TYPES that come in CAT most years but 58 questions out of 60 will definitely be different. Or else y would ppl give them in the first place? :)]

@Suhas07 If u dont mind me answering, assuming u are General + Male (Suhas is ur actual name, is'nt it?)-->
ABKIS- Definitely out of the window mathematically.
C- at a score of 339 which is approx 99.89%ile.
L- at approx 99.6 to be safe (as u wont be getting much marks in class-12 or grad section. U have not mentioned if u have work-ex but I am assuming u dont. Plus u are NOT a girl/non-engg, so they would deduct 5 marks out of the total 50 straightaway. So u need a high CAT score to offset these negatives)
new IIMs--> at 98+ to be safe (normally for ppl with decent acads, its 97+ but u should keep it higher)
But plz dont feel bad as there as several B-Schools that dont care much about ur past. Among the top ones, there is FMS, MDI, NITIE, SJMSOM, IIT-Delhi, IIFT where if u have a high CAT score, u are basically assured of a seat even if ur performance in PI is bad (by bad, I OBVIOUSLY dont mean that u can argue/fight with the panel :P), as these institutes have a massive weightage on the CAT score which basically cements ur place [U will find that 99% of the guys with say 99.6 has converted EACH of these institutes SAFELY).

Then there is the great one XLRI which again does'nt care about ur past but just lays great focus on ur XAT score + PI (Yes, PI is very important here as u will find several 99.5+ scorers who were rejected by XL last year on account of poor PI).

For back-up options, u have XIMB, IMT-G FT, NMIMS, SIBM-P which again have a massive weightage on ur score & u will find that most high scorers convert easily.

So as u can see, there are several options open for u & u dont need to lose ur heart, rueing over past mistakes. But yes obviously, ur score will make or break ur case. So focus a lot on getting a great score as believe me, it is very very tough to get 99+. If ur score sucks, then NOTHING can save u, not even if u have 90+ throughout & if it's good, NOTHING can stop u from getting into a Top-10 school easily 😃 Best of Luck.

@amit468 I am not asking u DONT do this or DONT do that...... I am just saying that NORMALLY ppl DONT give 3 separate mock test series'. CL+TF+IMS equals to what, approx 40 mocks. Do u really think that u are gonna have soooo much time to analyse 40 mocks (analysis is the main part which I am sure u know).....Obviously if u have reached the stage where ur prep is OVER & u have nothing left to do, then u can give as many mocks as u want but i just fear that u are gonna burn out much before the actual CAT. Obviously bhai, its ur life & ur decision 😃

As far as mocks are concerned, I gave TIME & CL. CL mock results made me very very happy (99+ always) while in the same week, when TIME mock results came out, it brought me crashing down to ground (always in the 90-95 range :(). As far as I know, IMS is great for VA but the rest is absolutely rubbish (I swapped some SIMCATs with my friend last year & hated the quality of questions). TF mocks are of a great quality (slightly higher than CAT quality which is GOOD as it prepares u for those tough slots that u may be unlucky enough to get) but the student base is pretty weak & u never get to know ur real standard. I can see that u HATE TIME mocks 😁 I do too but since this ur 2nd time and u have a substantial idea about the competition that u are gonna face, I really think u should give TIME a serious thought as getting 92+ in an AIMCAT basically means that u are of the 98%ile league & that is something others cant provide. Think of it in this way---if an AIMCAT is super duper tough, then its gonna be tough for everyone else as well & NOT JUST YOU. So the one who gets 92+ in that paper is obviously much well prepared than u & u are gonna have to elevate your level.

Select the mocks based on ur preference & analyze properly as trust me, a good analysis works wonders.

by what i read, CL mocks are the best and closest to CAT...soo if a person has to choose another mock series along with CL, what should it be (TF/IMS/TIME)? seniors kindly guide...
